The first portion includes a first liquid silicone rubber, carbon nanotubes at a concentration of at least about 0.5% by weight of the first portion, and at least one ferrite-containing component chosen from carbon ferrite and nickel manganese ferrite. The second portion includes a second liquid silicone rubber, carbon nanotubes at a concentration of at least about 0.5% by weight of the second portion, and at least one ferrite-containing component chosen from carbon ferrite and nickel manganese ferrite. Methods of producing the coating are also disclosed.

OVERHEAD RAIL AND TROLLEY SYSTEM
20220396294 · 2022-12-15 · ·

The present invention discloses an overhead rail and trolley apparatus and method. The apparatus provides an overhead rail having one or more tracks. A wheeled trolley having a wheel or wheels travels upon the tracks. A stop unit on the rail is positioned to selectively halt the trolley. There is a cutout section on the rail and an insert that is attached to the rail at the cutout. The trolley wheels engage the upper surface of the insert when the trolley is halted by the stop unit. A plating on the insert increases the hardness of the insert upper surface. The insert helps prevent and/or at least lessens wear of apparatus when the trolley is halted by the stop unit.

Example embodiments relate to alloys having high corrosion resistance and high wear resistance. In particular, example embodiments relate to an iron-based alloy including 20 wt % to 50 wt % Cr; 0 wt % to 15 wt % Mo; 0 wt % to 15 wt % W; 3 wt % to 6 wt % B; and a balance of iron and impurities. In example embodiments, the pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) is greater than 30 at 1300 K under substantially equilibrium solidification conditions. In example embodiments, the mole fraction of a hard phase of the alloy is between 45% and 80% at 1300K under substantially equilibrium solidification conditions. The liquidus of the alloy may be less than 2000K under substantially equilibrium solidification conditions.

ELECTROLESS Co-W PLATING FILM AND ELECTROLESS Co-W PLATING SOLUTION

An object of the present invention is to provide a new electroless plating film which can prevent the diffusion of molten solder to a metal material constituting a conductor. The present invention is an electroless Co—W plating film, wherein content of W is in an amount of 35 to 58 mass % and a thickness of the film is 0.05 μm or more.

Porous metal coatings using shockwave induced spraying

A new spray process allows for deposition below a critical velocity limit of cold spray, while providing adhesion. Post deposition heat treatment has shown excellent coating strength. A wide variety of materials can be deposited. The spray process is based on ShockWave Induced Spraying (SWIS) but with much slower spray jet projection velocities. High porosity, pore size control, and porosity control are demonstrated to be controllable. Preheating of feedstock and uniform temperature of the SWIS delivery allow for the deposition below critical velocity.

Composite panel comprising a perforated metallic foil for lightning strike protection and a perforated metallic foil

A composite panel having a plurality of carbon plies, a perforated metallic foil comprising several apertures and being directly secured to the plurality of carbon plies, and a protective layer made from resin reinforced with fibers which is secured to the metallic foil. The perforated metallic foil is embedded in the protective layer through its apertures. A free surface of the protective layer forms a top side of the composite panel. The thickness of the protective layer between the top side of the composite panel and the perforated metallic foil is at least 15 micrometers and the perforated metallic foil has a thickness of not more than 30 micrometers. The plurality of apertures in the aggregate defines an open area of not more than 40% of the surface area and a maximum distance between two opposed points in a perimeter of an aperture is equal to or less than 3 mm.
