TRIM PIECE WITH VARIABLE STRETCH CHARACTERISTICS
Elastic trims and articles incorporating the same, and also methods of manufacturing and processing elastic trims and articles incorporating the same, are provided. An elastic trim may include a base textile that is knitted or woven, and may further include cables that are movably positioned in tunnel structures located within the base textile, the cables having a lower stretch characteristic than the base textile. The cables may be secured and removed at certain locations, thereby imparting a variable stretch characteristic to the elastic trim. The elastic trims may be incorporated into various articles, including waistbands, apparel, footwear, and bags.
Three-Dimensional Woven Support Beam and Method of Making Thereof
Disclosed is a cruciform-shaped reinforcing structure with at least two arms of intersecting C-Beams having continuous warp fiber reinforcement across the length of each arm.
Three-Dimensional Woven Support Beam and Method of Making Thereof
Disclosed is a cruciform-shaped reinforcing structure with at least two arms of intersecting C-Beams having continuous warp fiber reinforcement across the length of each arm.
Braided filament having flat morphology and methods of manufacture and use
A braided filamentary device, in one embodiment, includes a substantially flat morphology having a length, a width, and a height, and a pick count of at least about 50 picks per inch. The filamentary device is adapted to maintain its width while under a tension.
Woven material including double layer construction
A woven material including a four layer construction formed by distinct groups of warp threads, and a method of forming the woven material. The woven material may include a first group of warp threads, and an interior weft thread portion coupled to the first group of warp threads. The woven material may also include a second group of warp threads substantially surrounding the first group of warp threads and the interior weft thread portion, and an exterior weft thread portion coupled to the second group of warp threads.
Elastic band
An elastic band contains: multiple warps, multiple latex yarns, and plural latex threads which are interweaved so as to produce the elastic band. The multiple warps include a plurality of cloth layers formed on side surfaces and bottoms of the multiple warps respectively, and the multiple warps include multiple elastic layers arranged among the plurality of cloth layers individually. The multiple elastic layers are interweaved by the multiple warps, the multiple latex yarns, and plural latex threads. A sewing machine includes multiple frames and multiple steel buckles so that the multiple warps are inserted through multiple frames repeatedly, and the multiple warps, the multiple latex yarns and the plural latex threads are inserted through the multiple steel buckles repeatedly so as to produce the elastic band.
COLLAGEN FIBER RIBBONS WITH INTEGRATED FIXATION SUTURES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
The disclosure describes implantable bioprosthesis and constructs having an implantable woven ribbon with at least one integrated suture.
MULTIPLE CHAMBER FOLDED INNERDUCT STRUCTURE
A flexible innerduct structure having a first margin region, a second margin region, and a middle region, where the middle region is located between the first and second margin regions. The innerduct structure contains at least two flexible, longitudinal chambers, with each chamber being designed for enveloping at least one cable.
The flexible innerduct structure contains at least one strip-shaped textile, each strip containing a first side and a second edge and extending in the longitudinal direction. All first and second edges of the strips are located in the middle region and each strip-shaped textile extends outwards from the middle region, folds about a fold axis located in either the first or second margin region and returns to the middle region. At least one strip extends from the first to the second margin region and the strips are attached together in the middle region.
Cut resistant rope
A rope having a core for providing strength to the rope, where at least a metal or composite woven or warp knitted fabric having multiple substantially parallel elongated metal elements is provided around the core for protecting said core from impact and cutting, and where the multiple substantially parallel elongated elements are in the warp direction and held by yarns.
Strap forming a belt and/or pair of thigh straps of a roping harness, and roping harness
A strap includes at least a first and second area, the first and second areas being consecutive along a longitudinal axis of the strap. The strap is woven from at least the first, second and third groups of warp threads and at least one weft thread, the strap being devoid of the second group in the second area, and of the third group in the first area, the first group passing through the first and second areas. The first group and second group of warp threads are distributed over the width of the strap in the first area.
