PROTECTIVE COVERING FOR WOOD PRODUCTS
20170120503 · 2017-05-04 ·

Protective coverings herein have a coated woven material with a first edge parallel with a warp direction and a second edge opposite the first edge, and have a first edge band proximate the first edge and a second edge band proximate the second edge. The coated woven material has a woven scrim made of a plurality of weft tapes and a plurality of warp tapes, but the warp tapes positioned in the first and second edge bands are high-shrinkage warp tapes and the warp tapes positioned in between the first and second edge bands have a shrinkage that is less than a shrinkage of the high-shrinkage warp tapes, and has a coating on at least one major surface of the woven scrim. The plurality of high-shrinkage warp tapes shrink upon application of heat. Methods of covering a load, such as stacked lumber, with the protective covering are also disclosed.

DECORATIVE ENGINEERED SELF HEM
20170029986 · 2017-02-02 ·

A decorative engineered self-hem and a method to prepare the decorative engineered self-hem in a single fabric is disclosed herein. It is prepared without having any additional cut and sew, with various weave patterns designed in a design area 10-20 inches from a selvedge area and the rest of the fabric is woven in conventional weave pattern such as satin/twill. The method of preparation includes cutting the fabric parallel to a selvedge area; folding the fabric overlapping the selvedge area; and folding the full fabric horizontally and, at the same time, hemming of edge of the selvedge area to finish.

Polyester fabric hook-and-loop fastener and manufacturing method for same

A polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener has a warp yarn thickness Tb which is 0.94 times or less of a warp yarn thickness Ts. A selvage area having a constant width is present on two opposite ends, continuously in a line form in the warp direction, without misalignment in the weft direction. As a result, when the polyester woven-fabric hook-and-loop fastener is sewn onto a garment or the like, a sewing thread sewn to the selvage area is in a straight line without meandering, and thus a sewn product excellent in appearance can be obtained.

METHOD FOR WEAVING WITH SELVAGE
20260110118 · 2026-04-23 ·

A method for three-dimensionally weaving a texture between a plurality of warp yarns extending along a longitudinal direction and a plurality of columns of weft yarns, the weft yarns extending along a transverse direction, the texture including a central part extending along the transverse direction between a first selvedge and a second selvedge, wherein at least one of the selvedge includes at least one primary weaving plane perpendicular to the transverse direction in which the weft yarns derived from the same column of weft yarns of the central part of the texture are group-interlinked, the weft yarns of the same group being aligned along the longitudinal direction.
