Actuator device, actuator band, and method for manufacturing actuator band
The present disclosure provides an actuator device having a large ratio of contraction ratio to initial tension. The actuator device according to the present disclosure comprises an actuator band and a control device. The actuator band is formed by braiding, knitting, or weaving a plurality of actuator single wires. The plurality of the actuator single wires each comprise an actuator wire and a mesh-shaped heating element which covers a side surface of the actuator wire. The actuator wire is formed of a polymer fiber. The fiber is twisted around the long axis thereof and folded so as to have a cylindrical coil shape. The control device is configured to supply electric power for heating the mesh-shaped heating element. The actuator band is heated to be contracted along the longitudinal direction thereof.
Article of apparel incorporating a zoned modifiable textile structure
An article of apparel is disclosed that includes zones with a textile having a structure than changes or is otherwise modified by a physical stimulus, such as the presence of water or a temperature change, to modify a property of the textile. The zones may be along a center back area and/or side areas of the apparel, and the textile may increase in air permeability when exposed to water. In some embodiments, slits are formed in the textile.

Resilient yarn and fabric having the same
A resilient yarn, fabric having the resilient yarn, and outdoor products, such as sling furniture, are disclosed. The resilient yarn includes a core made with a thermoplastic elastomer. A sheath at least partially surrounds the core. The sheath includes polyvinyl chloride (PVC) or a blend of PVC and thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).
SURFACE PIECE
A surface piece of crossing threads (12, 14) comprising plastic filaments, which as a woven fabric web (10) is equipped with two mutually opposing surfaces and with openings (16) formed therein. The fabric web comprises a metallisation applied on one side as a surface layer and between 15 and 80%, in particular between 20 and 70% of the fabric web is configured in the form of network intermediate spaces (16).

WOVEN ARTICLE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING STRESS DISTRIBUTION OF WOVEN ARTICLE UNDER STRESS
A woven article and a method for detecting a stress distribution of the woven article under stress are provided. The woven article includes a woven body and a plurality of metallic yarns connected to the woven body and spaced apart from each other. The woven body defines more than one direction thereon. The metallic yarns each extend in the direction. A resistance sensor is connected with each of the metallic yarns. A stress is exerted on the woven body, and the resistance sensor detects a resistance value generated by the metallic yarns on the woven body. According to the resistance value detected by the resistance sensor, a stress distribution of the woven body under stress can be obtained.

WIRE CLOTH
Wire cloth comprising a woven structure (2) defined by:
a weave (3) comprising a plurality of first thread-like elements (3a) made of metallic material; and a warp (4) woven with said weave and comprising a plurality of second thread-like elements (4a) made at least partially of metallic material; said structure (2) further comprising at least one lateral area (5) parallel to said warp (4) and having deformation means (6) for occluding channels (7) defined between the first thread-like elements (3a) at said lateral zone (5).
WOVEN TEXTILE
The woven textile includes an upper layer, a lower layer, a binding thread, and a third braid. The upper layer and the lower layer include at least one first braid and at least one second braid respectively. The first and the second braids extend in a meandering way to form a plurality of hollow portions. The upper layer and the lower layer overlap to have plural overlapping portions aligned along the horizontal direction. Plural rows of said overlapping portions are arranged along the longitudinal direction. The binding thread fixes the overlapping portions in a same row together by weaving so that the upper layer and the lower layer are positioned. The third braid fixes the overlapping portions of a same row with the overlapping portions of an other same row by weaving so that a distance between said two rows of overlapping portions is restricted.
