Disclosed is an exterior case. This exterior case comprises: a base including an internal space for storing an electronic device; a circuit board disposed on a first surface of the base and including a plurality of light-emitting elements for emitting light; and a weft-and-warp-woven outer cover surrounding the base and the circuit board and transmitting emitted light, wherein at least one among the weft and the warp may be formed of a thermoplastic polyester elastomer (TPEE) coating yarn which uses a transparent TPEE as a core and includes a coating layer made of polyurethane (PU) and surrounding the core.
WRAPPABLE END FRAY RESISTANT WOVEN PROTECTIVE TEXTILE SLEEVE AND METHOD OF CONSTRUCTION THEREOF
An end fray resistant textile sleeve includes an elongate wall having warp yarns extending generally parallel to a longitudinal central axis of the sleeve and fill yarns extending circumferentially about the sleeve. The warp yarns include at least two different types of yarns, with one of the types of warp yarns including activateable yarns and another of the types of yarns including non-activateable yarns. The activateable yarns can be provided as being activateable by at least one of heat, fluid and/or pressure, such that upon being activated, the yarns are caused to bond with the adjacent non-activateable warp yarns, as well as with the weft yarns with which they make contact. As such, the activateable yarns, upon being activated, become fixed with abutting warp yarns and weft yarns, thereby inhibiting end fray from resulting during a subsequent cold-cutting operation as well as in use.
Non-kinking self-wrapping woven sleeve and method of construction thereof
A wrappable textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The textile sleeve includes an elongate wall extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends with lengthwise extending edges extending along the longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The wall is woven from lengthwise extending warp yarns and circumferentially extending weft yarns with at least some of the weft yarns being heat-set to impart a self curling bias on the wall to bring the edges into overlapping relation with one another. Further, the weft yarns form a plurality of discrete annular bands that extend circumferentially about the longitudinal axis with adjacent bands having different picks-per-inch from one another to provide the sleeve with enhance regions of flexibility, self-curling bias and hoop strength.
Non-kinking self-wrapping woven sleeve and method of construction thereof
A wrappable textile sleeve and method of construction thereof is provided. The textile sleeve includes an elongate wall extending along a longitudinal axis between opposite ends with lengthwise extending edges extending along the longitudinal axis between the opposite ends. The wall is woven from lengthwise extending warp yarns and circumferentially extending weft yarns with at least some of the weft yarns being heat-set to impart a self curling bias on the wall to bring the edges into overlapping relation with one another. Woven fabric substrate for prevention of structural damage to functional yarns contained therein
A fabric substrate material is provided. The fabric substrate includes at least a first layer and a second layer. The first layer includes a first plurality of non-functional fill yarns and at least one functional fill yarn, and the second layer includes a second plurality of fill yarns. The second plurality of fill yarns and the at least one functional fill yarn exhibit substantially the same compressive strength, compressive resistance, or flexural strength. As such, the functional fill yarn in the first layer is protected from shrinkage or expansion and remains undamaged and functional after the fabric substrate is woven and subsequently handled or processed. The aforementioned practice of reinforcement described in the fill direction of the second layer can also be applied in the warp yarn direction, using the same principles described herein.
Woven fabric substrate for prevention of structural damage to functional yarns contained therein
A fabric substrate material is provided. The fabric substrate includes at least a first layer and a second layer. The first layer includes a first plurality of non-functional fill yarns and at least one functional fill yarn, and the second layer includes a second plurality of fill yarns. The second plurality of fill yarns and the at least one functional fill yarn exhibit substantially the same compressive strength, compressive resistance, or flexural strength. As such, the functional fill yarn in the first layer is protected from shrinkage or expansion and remains undamaged and functional after the fabric substrate is woven and subsequently handled or processed. The aforementioned practice of reinforcement described in the fill direction of the second layer can also be applied in the warp yarn direction, using the same principles described herein.
Fabric constructions with hollow structures
Techniques for producing an article having hollow structures are described herein. The disclosed techniques include weaving a plurality of yarns to form a woven fabric, wherein the plurality of yarns each comprise a dissolvable core, and the dissolvable core comprises polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) having a water solubility; neutralizing an alkaline before drying the woven fabric to maintain the water solubility of the PVA; and washing the woven fabric or a garment made by the woven fabric to at least partially remove the dissolvable core.

An article of apparel is disclosed that includes zones with a textile having a structure than changes or is otherwise modified by a physical stimulus, such as the presence of water or a temperature change, to modify a property of the textile. The zones may be along a center back area and/or side areas of the apparel, and the textile may increase in air permeability when exposed to water. In some embodiments, slits are formed in the textile.
