Control of the positioning and continuity of threads in a loom
A weaving installation (400) comprises a loom (100) for making a woven texture by weaving between a plurality of threads, at least part of the plurality of threads being carbon threads (210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215), the carbon threads each being individually stored on one bobbin of a plurality of carbon thread storage bobbins (220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225) present upstream of the loom. The installation further comprises a plurality of pairs of first and second electrical contacts (301, 302; 303, 304; 305, 306; 307, 308; 309, 310; 311, 312) present between the storage bobbins (220, 221, 222, 223, 224, 225) and the loom (100). Each pair of first and second electrical contacts is present in the path of a carbon thread, the first and second contacts of each pair being intended to be in electrical contact with a given carbon thread. The contacts of each pair of first and second contacts are further connected to an open-circuit detection circuit (230).
Method and system for line-by-line one dimensional fabric inspection
System and method for on-loom fabric inspection includes an imaging device collecting images of a weaving area of a loom, a frame grabber receiving images of a fell-pick of and sending compact image data packages to an image processor. Irregularities may be detected by comparing a digital string representing the characteristic sequence of warp-risers and warp-sinkers along the fell-pick with a corresponding row (901) of required warp-risers and required warp-sinkers in a reference matrix (900) representing a required weaving pattern. The digital string may be a sequence of Boolean values.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE CONSUMPTION OF YARN IN A WEAVING PROCESS
A textile machine receives a plurality of yarns from respective feeders, each provided with a control unit that calculates, for each garment produced, the amount of yarn consumed (YCmeas) and compares it with a reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset limit value (% max) that indicates an anomaly, then an alarm is generated. Periodically, the control unit calculates an average consumption value (YCmed) on the basis of a preset number (Nmed) of already-finished garments, and compares it with the reference consumption value (YCref). If the difference exceeds a preset threshold value (% maxmed), then the reference consumption value (Yref) is set to the average consumption value (Ymed).

Weaving Machine
A weaving machine with a shedding arrangement (10, 25) for forming loom sheds (3) between warp threads (1) drawn off from a thread supply (9), a weft insertion arrangement (20) for inserting weft threads (2) in the form of tapes into the formed loom sheds (3), and a drawing-off arrangement (30) for drawing off the woven fabric (4) formed by warp and weft threads (1, 2) after a weft thread insertion. The weaving machine encompasses a measuring arrangement (40) for detecting geometric parameters, especially the width, of a weft thread (2) before its insertion in the loom shed (3), as well as an evaluating arrangement (45) for evaluating the detected measurement results. A control arrangement (50) for controlling a motion of the woven fabric (4), including the drawing-off, based on the evaluated measurement results, is present on the weaving machine and is connected with the drawing-off arrangement (30).
DEVICE EQUIPPED WITH PATTERN-CONTROLLED COMPONENTS AND TEXTILE MACHINE COMPRISING SUCH A DEVICE
A device (1) equipped with pattern-controlled components (2) for pattern-controlled feeding and/or selection of yarn for a textile machine, comprising a plurality of actuators (4) and a cooling circuit (5, 8) through which coolant is flowable for the cooling of the actuators (4), whereby the actuators (4) in the device (1) are installed alongside the cooling circuit (5, 8) and are mountable so as to be detachable so that the actuators can be removed without interrupting the cooling circuit (5, 8). Furthermore, a textile machine comprising such a device (1).
INTERACTIVE LOOM
An interactive loom, which includes a loom-mechanism, a user interface, a loom interface, and a controller. Each cam is in the form of a cylinder rotating about the axis thereof. The circumferential surface of the cam exhibits a determined surface geometry, such that each of a plurality of sections of said circumferential surface corresponds to a respective one of the arms. The circumferential surface further exhibits a respective cross sectional profile and such that each rotational position of said cam is associated with a respective state of lowered and raised arms. The loom-interface includes a motor coupled with the cam, and operates loom-mechanics according to instructions. The controller receives a design from the user-interface and transforms the design into a sequence of states of the arms required for achieving the design. The controller further provides the instructions to the loom-interface. The instructions are associated with state changes of the arms.
