Article having a first zone with first and second yarns
The present disclosure provides an article. The article may include a knitted component with a first zone, the first zone being at least partially formed with a first yarn and a second yarn. The first yarn may be a monofilament yarn. The second yarn may have a tenacity of at least 5 grams per denier (g/D). The first yarn and the second yarn may be adjacent at least at one location within the first zone.
Injection molded panels
Provided is a molded panel having at least one surface resembling a knit-like pattern, said panel comprising a plurality of stitches at least partially interconnected through connecting members wherein at locations where the stitch strand and the connecting member intersect they form together an integrated, solid molded material location and wherein the panel comprises through going apertures extending therethrough.

Friction Transmission Belt and Manufacturing Method Thereof
A frictional power-transmission belt having a frictional power-transmission surface covered with a composite fiber layer, in which the composite fiber layer includes a fiber member and an isocyanate compound, and the fiber member includes a cellulose-based fiber. In the frictional power-transmission belt, the isocyanate compound may have a proportion of 3 to 20 mass % in the composite fiber layer.
KNITTED COMPONENT INCLUDING KNIT OPENINGS FORMED WITH RELEASABLE YARN
A knitted component includes a first yarn and a second yarn, where the first yarn comprises a thermoplastic material having a melting temperature. The first yarn is used to create window openings of different shapes and sizes within the knitted component. This is achieved by using the first yarn to releasably secure adjacent edges of a window opening. The first yarn is then heated to release, at least in part, the first yarn from the edges of the window opening, allowing the edges to separate and thereby form a window opening.
SOCK WITH INTEGRALLY KNIT GRIP STRIPS OF VARYING WIDTHS
Aspects herein include a sock having integrally knit grip strips where a first area of the grip strip has a first number of grip yarn knit courses and a second area of the grip strip has a second number of grip yarn knit courses different from the first number of grip yarn knit courses.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR 3D CONSTRUCTION PRINTING
A large-scale additive manufacturing system for printing a structure includes an extrusion system and a knitting system. The extrusion system includes a nozzle configured to receive a supply of structural material and to selectively dispense the structural material in flowable form, and a first gantry configured to move the nozzle along toolpaths defined according to a structure to be printed such that structural material may be dispensed along the toolpaths to print a series of structural layers, wherein the series of structural layers bond together to form all or a portion of the structure. The knitting system includes a tow feeder configured to feed a supply of tow material to a location proximate a current course of loops extending above an upper surface of a current structural layer or extending above a base surface in regions where no structural layer has been printed, and a hooking device configured to engage the tow material and bring it through the current course of loops to form a subsequent course of loops interwoven with the current course of loops. A controller is configured to operate the knitting system to form additional subsequent courses of loops each interwoven with a current course of loops after each of the series of structural layers are printed, wherein the interwoven courses of loops create a reinforcement network of knitted loops embedded in the structure, and wherein the series of structural layers are tied together.
Active woven materials
Active fabrics typically include a plurality of fibers. At least one of the fibers exhibits a change in length or width upon exposure to an external stimulus, such as heat, moisture, or light. The active woven materials can exhibit local transformation, such as creating areas that are tighter or more open, or global transformation, such as changing from flat to curled. The effect is a precise and repeatable change in shape upon exposure to an external stimulus. Embodiments can be employed, for example, in sportswear, compression garments, furniture, and interior products.

Material blend with patterned fabric
A blended fabric having a patterned color includes a first portion comprised of cotton and a second portion comprised of polyester. A dye that has a strong affinity for cotton and a slight affinity for polyester is applied to the fabric. The dye gives the cotton portion a deep black color and applies a light gray color to the polyester portion. A combination of deep black cotton and light gray polyester combines to provide the patterned color of the blended fabric. The blended fabric may be comprised of a larger percentage of cotton than polyester that is spun into a single filament yarn that is then knitted into a Jersey Knit styled fabric, a looped knit terry fabric, or a fleece fabric. Further, the present invention comprises a blended fabric whereby dye absorption by the cotton and not by the polyester create darker and lighter patterns within the blended fabric.
