Nets, preferably nets for aquaculture are provided, wherein the net comprises cords joined in a net mesh, wherein each cord comprises one or more yarns, the yarns having a tenacity of at least 0.6 N/tex and wherein the net has a mesh size of at least 8 mm, characterized in that the cords further comprise a polymeric resin, wherein the polymeric resin is a homopolymer or copolymer of ethylene and/or propylene, wherein the polymeric resin has a density as measured according to ISO1183 in the range from 860 to 970 kg/m.sup.3, a melting temperature in the range from 40 to 140 C. and a heat of fusion of at least 5 J/g. The invention further relates to a fishing net, a fish farming construction comprising said net, a fish farm, and a method for fish farming.

In an aspect, a braiding machine is provided, and has a set of spool shuttles that each dispense a strand of flexible material under tension. A strand retractor releasably retracts the strands from the spool shuttles. A plurality of shuttle stations at which the spool shuttles can be positioned are arranged in a circuit. At least one shuttle carriage, when driven, repeatedly selects an immediately previously unselected spool shuttle and moves the immediately previously unselected spool shuttle from an associated shuttle station to another shuttle station along the circuit spaced from the associated shuttle station by at least one shuttle station that is intermediate the associated shuttle station and the other shuttle station. An equine grooming device for maintaining a horse mane's braid has at least one pin and a limiter. The pin forms or receives a securing element. The securing element prevents movement of the pin in a direction opposite to a stitching direction. The limiter may include a retainer element. The securing element may be formed by deforming at least part of the pin. A method for use of an equine grooming device for maintaining a horse's braid is also disclosed.

A synthetic braiding hair and its manufacturing method are disclosed. A synthetic braiding hair creating a faux locs style and a bohemian hair style simultaneously is comprised of the plurality of the first synthetic fibers spirally wound to create a faux locs hair style, the plurality of the second synthetic fibers spirally wound simultaneously along the plurality of the first synthetic fibers and extended at one end longer than the plurality of the first synthetic fibers to create a bohemian hair style thereof, and a hook formed at the other end of the plurality of the first synthetic fibers.

Further, the apparatus may comprise three or more winding carriers, each being coupled to one of the rope strands. The winding carriers configured to move about each other in serpentine path such that rope strands of the braided rope are separated. Each winding carrier may comprise a spool which is connected to the rope strand coupled to the winding carrier. Each winding carrier may further comprise a torque creating unit configured to provide a torque on the spool and to cause the spool to rotate such that the rope strand is wound around the spool.

The present invention provides apparatus and a method for use in weaving elongate members together and most typically elongate members in the form of hair attached to the head of a person or a toy doll. The elongate members are provided in groups and the groups pass through passages in a weaving mechanism and along guide tubes which are located to the opposing side of the weaving mechanism from the item to which at least some of the elongate members are attached. Typically, relative movement of the weaving mechanism along the elongate members and the operation of the weaving mechanism cause the weave, such as in the form of plaiting, braiding or cornrowing to be formed.
