Cleaning article with irregularly spaced tow tufts
A cleaning article defining an XY plane and a Z direction perpendicular to the plane. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers disposed on a carrier sheet. The discrete tufts have bond lines external to the tufts. The bond lines interrupt the Z-direction thickness of the tufts, to provide channels for improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface.
Method to Produce a Pile Textile Product and a Textile Product Resulting from the Same
A method for manufacturing a textile product includes the steps of providing an intermediate product formed by a backing having a front surface and a back surface, and yarns applied into the backing, the yarns extending from the front surface of the backing material, feeding the intermediate product along a body having a heated surface, the back surface being pressed against the heated surface, to at least partly melt the yarns present in the intermediate product to form the textile product, wherein the part of the back surface that is pressed against the heated surface has a relative speed with respect to the heated surface, and a device enabling applications of this method and to a floor covering incorporating such a textile product connected to a dimensionally stable carrier sheet using thermo reversible covalent interactions.

SPACER PRODUCT
A spacer product (e.g., a fabric) has long and thin stems welded to, interconnecting and extending from, two spaced flexible carrier sheets, such as of thin film. A precursor sheet product may be made by orienting thin, hollow, drawn staple fibers between bristles of a brush, and then fusing a film to the fiber ends by direct welding. The fibers are then withdrawn from the brush as stems with distal ends that are secured to another carrier sheet to form the spacer product.
MATERIAL FOR A PRIMARY CARPET BACKING
A material for a primary carpet backing including a nonwoven fabric including first bicomponent core/sheath fibers including a first thermoplastic polymer in the core and a second thermoplastic polymer in the sheath and second bicomponent core/sheath fibers including a third thermoplastic polymer in the core and a fourth thermoplastic polymer in the sheath, wherein the first thermoplastic polymer in the core of the first bicomponent core/sheath fibers is of a different polymer family as the third thermoplastic polymer in the core of the second bicomponent core/sheath fibers, and wherein the second thermoplastic polymer in the sheath of the first bicomponent core/sheath fibers and the fourth thermoplastic polymer in the sheath of the second bicomponent core/sheath fibers are polymers of the same polymer family, preferably having the same melting temperature.
OLFACTORY MAT FOR DOMESTIC ANIMALS
A washable, reusable mat that serves as a stimulation device for animals, the mat having a base a base with a pile thereon, the pile being formed from a plurality of fingers which are arranged to form a structure with a plurality of spaces. Food or treats for the animal (e.g., a dog), are placed on the mat, and the food or treats fall among the fingers and are captured within the spaces formed in the pile by the fingers. The animal locates the food or treats by employing the animal's olfactory senses, such as smell and taste, to locate the food within the matt pile. The animal may use its nose (or paws) to gain access to the captured food by tunneling among the fingers, moving the fingers aside, or other action to access the hidden food.
FIBER SURFACE FINISH ENHANCED FLOCKED IMPACT FORCE ABSORBING STRUCTURE AND MANUFACTURING
Embodiments of fiber surface finish enhanced flocked surface impact force absorbing structure include a plurality of flock fibers disposed on a substrate, a surface coating applied to the plurality of flock fibers, and in another embodiment, a divider fabric bonded to the tops of flock fibers.
