The invention relates to an arrangement comprising a visible seam, which is arranged in a sheet material part. The arrangement also includes a lighting apparatus, which is arranged beneath an underside of the sheet material part. The visible seam has an upper thread and a lower thread. The lower thread extends along the underside of the sheet material part in a direction (R). The upper thread has first thread portions along the upper side of the sheet material part and is guided, at stitch holes formed during the sewing process, through said stitch holes via second thread portions. By means of the lighting apparatus, emitted light passes into the second thread portions, into the stitch holes, and from there into the first thread portions. Some of the light propagates along the first thread portions, starting from an adjacent second thread portion, whereas another portion of the light exits from the first thread portion. In this way, the upper thread of the visible seam is illuminated.

The apparatus having a head with a needle bar assembly operatively coupled to the head; a looper configured to cooperate with the needle bar assembly in order to provide a plurality of stitches in the decorative component, the looper rotating in a plane parallel to the decorative component; and a post assembly configured to drive the looper in a reciprocating fashion in the plane, wherein the post assembly is operatively coupled to a motor configured to drive the needle bar assembly in a reciprocating fashion.

An embroidery sewing machine including: a perforation head having a plurality of vertically reciprocating bars and punches where each punch includes a perforation head; a receiving base having a receiving member configured to receive the punch; a holder frame for supporting a workpiece in an expanded state between the punch and the receiving base, the holder frame being configured to be controlled to move in two-dimensional planar directions; and a tape feed mechanism feeding a tape-like cushioning material having a wider width than at least a processing area of the punch, wherein the material is fed from the front/rear direction and between the workpiece supported in the holder frame and an upper surface of the receiving member, and wherein an upstream portion of the material is shifted downstream to where the receiving member is located according to the vertically reciprocating motion of the punch.

A method and an apparatus for the production of fabric or leather articles, particularly articles to be padded, comprising the steps of: automatic sewing, at an embroidery machine (3), of superimposed cloths (20d) according to a stored template that contains a pattern of reference sewing lines (S1-S5); applying a plurality of markings in the form of respective additional seams, according to a corresponding arrangement of reference markings (M1-M4) provided in the stored template; optically capturing (5) a sewn portion of the cloths and determining any displacement of the markings applied with respect to the arrangement of the reference markings (M1-M4); on the basis of the displacement and of the mutual arrangement of the reference markings (M1-M4) and of the pattern of the sewing lines (S1-S5) that are stored, determining by interpolation the actual pattern of the sewing lines that is present on the sewn cloths (20d); automatically cutting (53) along the sewing lines on the basis of the actual pattern obtained with the interpolation.
