DECORATIVE ARTICLES
Disclosed are decorative articles, such as cornice style window valances, wall accents and table accents, and method for making the same. Specifically, the present invention relates to a kit used for making such a decorative article. The kit may include valance panel design forms, such as one side panel valance design form and one or two center panel design forms or one design form for all panels. The kit also includes one or more traceable style form sheets, one or more peel and stick style form sheets and design guide.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SEWING AN OPEN END OF A TUBULAR TEXTILE ITEM TO MAKE THE TOE OF A SOCK OR OF A LEG OF A STOCKING
A method for sewing an open end of a tubular textile item so as to make the toe of a sock or of a leg of a stocking, comprising the steps of: loading a tubular item onto a preparation mold, and flatten it to define a first side and a second side; pulling the end portion of the first side so that is elongated, with respect to the end portion of the second side, of a determined length; by keeping the end portion of the first side pulled, simultaneously blocking the two sides so as to make them as one piece; by keeping the two sides blocked, releasing the end portion of the first side, taking the preparation mold out of the tubular item, and simultaneously placing the end portions of the two sides to sewing devices, so as to make a closed toe of the tubular item.
SEWING APPARATUS
A sewing apparatus includes a housing, an arm shaft that extends through the housing in a longitudinal direction, a cam member coupled to the arm shaft, the cam member including a front face and a rear face positioned opposite the front face, where the cam member includes a lobe positioned on one of the front face and the rear face, a needle assembly coupled to the housing, the needle assembly including a needle shaft and a needle coupled to the needle shaft, and an arm pivotally coupled to the housing and engaged with the cam member, where the needle assembly is slidably engaged with the arm in a vertical direction and the needle assembly is constrained with respect to the arm in the longitudinal direction and a lateral direction that is transverse to the longitudinal direction.

AUTOMATED SEWING AND THREAD MANAGEMENT
The present disclosure relates to automated systems, devices, and methods of sewing a target device such as a prosthetic implant device. The systems and methods include forming a stitch on the target device, adjusting a thread coupled to a needle used to form the stitch so that the thread is clear of (e.g., does not interfere with) a path of the needle, and applying a targeted tension to the thread to tension the stitch on the target device. The suturing process can also include providing different targeted tensions during formation of the stitch. The suturing process can also include providing different targeted tensions at different stages of the formation of the stitch to aid in forming the stitch, to clear the needle path of the thread, and/or to hold the stitch in place in preparation for the next stitch.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SEWING THE TOE OF A TUBULAR KNITTED ARTICLE
The device (1) comprises a continuous flexible member (7), configured and arranged to press with a branch thereof an end portion of the tubular knitted article (G1, G2) against a supporting surface (31) and to feed the tubular knitted article (G1, G2) along a feed path from an insertion position toward and through a sewing area in which there is arranged a sewing machine (5). In the insertion area the portion of continuous flexible member in contact with the tubular knitted article (G1, G2) forms a first curve (7A; 7B). In the sewing area, the continuous flexible member (7) co-acts with a convex deflector profile (25), which imparts to the continuous flexible member (7) a curvature with a convexity facing the same part as the convexity of the first curve (7A; 7B) of the continuous flexible member (7).
DEVICES FOR ASSISTING WITH HEART VALVE MANUFACTURING
An assistance system that can be used for prosthetic heart valve manufacturing or suturing procedures includes an automated fixture that can comprise an articulation arm and a target device holder. The target device holder can be positioned and oriented to reduce operator strain during a manufacturing or inspection process. The assistance system includes a user input device enabling the operator to move between positions to assist in such processes. The assistance system can also be trained by capturing sequences of position data corresponding to a manufacturing or inspection process.
Glass article layer, glass article bundle, and packing method
A glass article layer is provided that includes at least two cylindrical glass articles extending in a z-direction and arranged side by side in an x-direction. Two spacers are provided spaced apart from one another at an interval longitudinally of the glass article in the z-direction. The spacers are arranged between the glass articles. The spacers are thread-like elements and at least one of the thread-like elements is provided at each spacer position.
