SEWING MACHINE AND METHOD FOR OPERATING THE SEWING MACHINE
A sewing machine includes a support surface for two plies of material to be sewn together and a sewing mechanism that is attached to the support surface and is in operative connection with a machine controller, wherein a plate element positioned between the two material plies is arranged in the material feed area thereof. A vertical adjustment device for the plate element that is actuatable by the machine controller adjusts a vertical distance between the support surface and the plate element, and thus also influences the feed of material to the sewing mechanism. The vertical adjustment device is equipped with an electromagnet for adjusting the position of the plate element. The plate element is equipped with a magnet, which cooperates with the electromagnet.
SEWING SYSTEM
A sewing system includes: a robot manipulator; a plurality of assemblies attached to and detached from the robot manipulator and each configured to perform predetermined work on cloth; a server stores process data indicating a relationship between a plurality of processes for manufacturing a sewn product from the cloth and the assembly used in each of the plurality of processes; and a control device configured to select an assembly to be mounted to the robot manipulator based on the process data.

Method of Automatically Fabricating Pattern Composite Fabric Pieces with Seam Allowance Flaps
An automatically fabricated composite material pattern piece is formed with an outer and inner fabric sheet secured together along a pattern seam line by stitching or heat glue fusing. Seam allowance flaps are formed adjacent pattern seam lines and project outwardly from under outer edge portions of the outer fabric sheet to provide for attachment of the composite material pattern pieces together in a specific order to form a finished fabric article.

Resilient band for article of apparel
A resilient band for an article of apparel, formed with a first fabric secured to another more resilient fabric. The first and second fabrics are secured together by a plurality of fastening structures extending transversely to a longitudinal length of the resilient band. The first fabric presents a plurality of pleats, where a pleat in the plurality of pleats is defined by an adjacent pair of fastening structures in the plurality of fastening structures.

Sewing control device and sewing machine
A sewing control device includes in a sewing machine having upper feed function a control device which controls feed of an object to be sewn. A lower feed amount setting motor sets a feed amount of a lower feed dog and an upper feed amount change motor changes a feed amount of an upper feed dog. A feed execution range, in which the feed of the object to be sewn is executed by an appropriate feed amount while the object to be sewn is sandwiched between the lower feed dog and the upper feed dog, and a feed non-execution range, in which the feed of the object to be sewn is not executed in a state in which the feed dogs do not act on the object to be sewn, are present. The feed amount of the upper feed dog can be changed only in the feed non-execution range during sewing.

Method of automatically fabricating pattern composite fabric pieces with seam allowance flaps
A method of fabricating pattern composite fabric pieces by an automatic pattern fabric article piece processing machine is described. A composite fabric sheet is fed in the processing machine onto a conveyor having a permeable belt under which is provided a vacuum chamber to retain the fabric sheet stationary while a laser cutter effects a programmed job function. The machine forms seam allowance flaps for the composite fabric pattern piece. A stitching or ultrasonic bonding machine also forms seams. In a further stage, printed matter may be applied to the allowance flaps. Glue may also be applied to the flaps and labels to some of the pattern fabric pieces. By interconnecting the seam allowance flaps of different fabric pieces, in a specific order, a fabric material article is produced.
