Hybrid standing sit-down quilting apparatus
Presented is an method and apparatus. An exemplary method includes securing a moveable support surface in a first position adjacent to a sewing head having a reciprocating needle, and moving the support surface to a second position to define a working window adjacent to the sewing head. The method further includes moving the sewing head within the working window relative to the support surface in the second position.
Embroidery frame
An embroidery frame includes an inner frame, an outer frame, an elastic member, and an attachment member. The inner frame is formed in a ring shape. The outer frame is formed in a ring shape and is configured to be fitted onto an outside of the inner frame. The elastic member is arranged on at least one of an outer peripheral surface of the inner frame and an inner peripheral surface of the outer frame. The attachment member detachably attaches the elastic member to one of the inner frame and the outer frame.

Multi-needle machine and method for producing reinforced materials
This relates to the manufacturing of reinforced materials, such as reinforced cellular materials or reinforced textiles, for example. Reinforcement is achieved by including a textile semi-finished product into the material to be reinforced, by providing the semi-finished product at the rear side of the material in a zigzag or wave-like manner and then pulling the semi-finished product through the material by a plurality of needles. Thus, the manufacturing process may be performed in a time saving manner.

Embroidery frame attachment device
When a displacement member is located at an open position, an action member causes urging force of an elastic urging member to act on the displacement member such that the displacement member is held at the open position. When the displacement member is located at a closed position, the action member causes urging force of the elastic urging member to act on the displacement member such that the displacement member is held at the closed position. When a connection pin fits into an opening through an entrance for attaching an embroidery frame to a carriage, the connection pin contacts a contact portion of the displacement member and press the contact portion toward a side opposite to the entrance of the opening, and the displacement member is displaced from the open position to the closed position.

Quilt suspension apparatus and method
An apparatus and method for suspending a substantial portion of a quilt or fabric for free-motion stitching during sewing operations is disclosed. The apparatus includes a planar frame with support poles extending from the frame feet, with a retainer for retaining a portion of the quilt or fabric attached to one or more support poles via a retainer block. The frame includes at least two frame base portions with frame feet on opposing sides of the frame base portions which form a secure base for the suspension assembly to rest upon a surface. A dowel spans between the frame feet of each frame base and serves to provide a sturdy structural connection to which the support poles are attached. The retention clips retain the quilt or fabric layers in the desired suspended position so as to form a partial paraboloid shape with the local area around the vertex of the partial paraboloid shape positioned in relative juxtaposition to the sewing machine needle where stitching occurs. The frame bases may be moved closer or farther away from each other so as to narrow or enlarge the distance between the support poles attached to each frame foot depending on the size of the table or surface upon which the sewing machine is placed and provides a scalable solution for a variety of stitching or sewing apparatus setups.
