METHOD FOR CONFERRING DURABLE WATER REPELLENCE TO WOVEN OR NON-WOVEN FABRIC AND WATER REPELLENT COMPOSITION
Disclosed is a method for conferring durable water repellence to woven or non-woven fabric, comprising the steps of: (1) treating the fabric with an aqueous composition, the composition comprising (a) an aqueous solvent comprising at least 80 w/w % water, and 20 w/w % or less of a water miscible organic solvent comprising at least two functional OH groups, and (b) 0.1-40 w/w % of an acrylic ester having the formula 1: wherein A.sup.1 is H or CH.sub.3, and A.sup.2 is C.sub.1-C.sub.30 linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated hydrocarbon that may have an alicyclic or aromatic ring, the acrylic ester being dissolved, emulsified or dispersed in the aqueous solvent, (2) heating the treated fabric to 120-200? C. Further such a composition and fabric treated with such a composition are disclosed.

3D KNITTED STRUCTURE AND A METHOD OF PROVIDING A 3D KNITTED STRUCTURE
Aspects of the present invention relate to a method (500) of fabricating a cover for an interior trim component or an exterior trim component for a vehicle. The method comprising forming a 3D knitted structure (510) by knitting together at least one heat activated yarn and at least one non-heat activated yarn. The structure may be arranged whereby, during a subsequent heat treatment process (520) in which the cover is heated to a temperature at or above an activation temperature, the heat-activated yarn is activated thereby to form an automotive cover having a knitted structure of increased stiffness once cooled.

METHOD FOR PRODUCING A KNITTED FABRIC
A method for producing a knitted fabric part which is knitted from at least one thread and which in one or a plurality of regions on the knitted fabric external side and/or the knitted fabric internal side is equipped with a coating, wherein, for configuring the coating, a material comprising free-flowing particles is applied in the region to the knitted fabric, said material subsequently being melted or fused by heating, whereupon the material is cooled while forming the coating.
Method for treating textile material and corresponding treatment apparatus
A method for treating textile material (13) to attach dyes, such as synthetic or natural dyes, or to apply bleaches to said textile material (13). The method provides a first step of pre-impregnation of the textile material (13) with an impregnation liquid and a second step of heating the impregnation liquid and the possible dyes or bleaches, through contact of said textile material (13) with at least one heated drum (20), and subsequent vaporization of said impregnation liquid, said textile material (13) being selectively movable on said heated drum (20), subjected to an adjustable pressure higher than atmospheric pressure, a strip (18) being present and exerting on said textile material (13) an adjustable pressure against the heated drum (20).
