A portable apparatus for washing and drying clothes, and a method of manufacturing said apparatus, are described. In one aspect an apparatus includes a washing unit and a drying unit. The washing unit includes a washing compartment configured to be collapsible, a water tube connected from a top washer end to a bottom washer end of the washing unit, a water hose extending from a side wall of the washing unit, and a wringer coupled to an end of the washing compartment. The drying unit includes a drying compartment, a power compartment, a fan assembly at the top dryer end and coupled to the drying compartment, a heating assembly, and an air vent. In one aspect the drying unit is coupled to the washing unit.

A method and apparatus for a laundry treating appliance dispense treating chemistry into a rotating basket. A dispenser can be a centrifugal dispenser adapted to move or dispense treating chemistry based upon rotational movement of a basket. The dispenser can include a holding pocket to hold a volume of treating chemistry, a transferring pocket to centrifugally receive the treating chemistry, and a dilution pocket to dilute the treating chemistry and dispenser the treating chemistry.

A method and apparatus for a laundry treating appliance dispense treating chemistry into a rotating basket. A dispenser can be a centrifugal dispenser adapted to move or dispense treating chemistry based upon rotational movement of a basket. Disclosed is a laundry treating apparatus including a tub for providing therein a space for water to be stored, a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and providing therein a space for clothes to be stored, wherein the drum includes an open surface for inserting and withdrawing the clothes therethrough and a bottom surface located on an opposite side of the open surface, a pulsator rotatably disposed on the bottom surface and inside the drum, an agitator protruding from the pulsator inside the drum and extending toward the open surface, wherein the agitator is rotatably disposed at a center of the pulsator, and a driver configured to drive at least one of the drum, the pulsator, and the agitator. The pulsator and the agitator may be configured to rotate in opposite directions.

A washing machine includes: a vertical axis type washing tub in which laundry and a washing liquid are housed and a washing operation including a wash step is performed; and a roller rotatably provided in an inner wall portion of the washing tub in a state that a rotation axis is vertically oriented, the roller being rotated to facilitate movement of laundry, wherein a water level of the washing liquid in the washing tub is settable in a plurality of levels ranging from a minimum water level to a maximum water level, and the roller is disposed such that an entire vertical length extends over two or more water levels among the plurality of set water levels.

A laundry treating appliance and method of operating a laundry treating appliance includes a treating chamber receiving laundry for treating, a dispenser fluidly coupled to the treating chamber and a faucet. A water supply circuit includes a hot water inlet and a cold water inlet supplying hot water, cold water, or a mixture of hot and cold water to the faucet.

A laundry treating appliance and method of operating a laundry treating appliance includes a treating chamber receiving laundry for treating, a dispenser fluidly coupled to the treating chamber and a faucet. A water supply circuit includes a hot water inlet and a cold water inlet supplying hot water, cold water, or a mixture of hot and cold water to the faucet.

A fabric treating appliance comprising a cabinet defining an interior and having a top wall defining an access opening. A cover movable relative to the cabinet between opened/closed positions to selectively close the access opening. A tub located within the interior and having an upper edge defining an open top, a rotatable basket located within the tub and having an upper edge defining a loading opening. A tank defining a bulk dispensing reservoir positioned in the cabinet, and a timer valve that is fluidly coupled to the bulk dispensing reservoir. A time selector is located on the tank and operably coupled to the timer valve. The time selector has non-time selection indicia such as load amount, liquid volume, or soil level. The timer valve is a mechanical timer valve.
