Laundry treating appliance having a user interface and methods of operating same
A laundry treating appliance includes a treating chamber provided for receiving laundry for treatment, a controller having a memory in which is stored a set of executable instructions including a set of cycles of operations. The laundry treating appliance also includes a user interface operably coupled with the controller and having a touchscreen configured to provide an input and output function for the controller.
Washing machine appliance and methods for out-of-balance detection and mitigation
A washing machine appliance and a method of detecting and mitigating out-of-balance conditions includes obtaining a subwasher load weight after adding water to the wash tub and obtaining a displacement threshold based at least in part on the subwasher load weight. The wash basket is spun at a first, low speed and the displacement amplitude of the wash tub is measured using a measurement device, such as an accelerometer and gyroscope. The measured displacement amplitude is then compared to the displacement threshold and if the displacement amplitude exceeds the displacement threshold, an agitation element is rotated to agitate or redistribute the load of articles.
Clutch assembly of washing machine
A washing machine includes a motor for generating power and a clutch assembly that receives the power from the motor and drives a drum and a pulsator. The clutch assembly includes a driving shaft that receives the power from the motor and rotates, a pulsator drive portion selectively receiving the power from the driving shaft to rotate the pulsator, and a drum driving portion selectively receiving the power from the driving shaft to rotate the drum, The clutch assembly is provided to selectively drive a driving portion of at least one of the drum driving portion and the pulsator drive portion. With this configuration, the washing machine capable of running various modes of a washing mode and dehydration mode is implemented.
METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SPIN-DRYING CYCLE OF LAUNDRY TREATMENT MACHINE
Disclosed is a method for controlling a spin-drying cycle of a laundry treatment machine. The method includes performing a plurality of spin-drying operations by rotating a drum above an adjusted rotational speed range configured to adjust disposition of balls within a ball balancer so as to correspond to a changed amount of eccentricity, and adjusting the disposition of the balls within the ball balancer by rotating the drum within the adjusted rotational speed range, between the respective spin-drying operations.
Method for treating laundry in a laundry washing machine and laundry washing machine
A method is provided for treating laundry in a laundry washing machine. The method includes at least one washing phase during which the laundry is washed with introduction of water and the detergent into a washing tub and tumbled by rotation of a washing drum, at least one successive draining phase for draining liquid from the washing tub and following the draining phase at least one rinsing step in which the laundry is soaked with water, and a final rinsing step in which the laundry is treated by means of a rinse additive. An additive supply step is also included, where water is introduced into the tub together with the additive. Before the additive supply step, in a saturation step, the laundry is provided with a saturation amount of water for saturating said laundry.

Liquid detergent composition
There is provided a liquid detergent composition comprising an internal olefin sulfonate salt at a high concentration and being excellent in stability at low temperatures without lowering the detergency. The liquid detergent composition comprises the following components (A) to (D), wherein a mass ratio of the component (A) to a total amount of the component (B) and the component (C), (A/(B+C)), is 0.6 or more and 5 or less; and a mass ratio of the component (B) to the component (C), (B/C), is 0.05 or more and 1.8 or less. (A): 10 to 40% by mass of an internal olefin sulfonate salt having 16 to 18 carbon atoms in which a content of an internal olefin sulfonate salt having a sulfonic group at the C-2 position is 5% by mass to 25% by mass; (B): 0.5 to 16% by mass of a fatty acid salt represented by the following formula (1): R.sup.1COOM (1) wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group or alkenyl group having 10 or more and 14 or less carbon atoms; and M represents a hydrogen atom, an alkali metal, alkaline earth metal ( atom), ammonium or an organic ammonium; (C): an organic solvent having one or more hydroxyl groups; and (D) water.
Washing machine and control method thereof
Disclosed herein is a washing machine including: a main body having a laundry inlet in the front portion; a tub disposed in the inside of the main body, and configured to store water; a drum rotatably disposed in the inside of the tub; a pulsator disposed in the inside of the drum, and configured to be rotatable relative to the drum; a motor configured to provide a driving force to the pulsator; and a controller configured to control a current flowing to the motor on the basis of revolution per minute (rpm) of the pulsator rotating by a movement of laundry contained in the drum, and to start controlling the motor on the basis of rpm of the drum.
LAUNDRY WASHING MACHINE WITH DYNAMIC RINSE SYSTEM
A laundry washing machine and method utilize a fluid property sensor to sense a fluid property of a fluid during a wash cycle to sense the level of detergent remaining in a load and control a rinse operation performed thereafter based upon the sensed fluid property. In some instances, the fluid property may be sensed while the load is being spun at a rate sufficient to cause fluid to be released from the load such that the sensed fluid property is based at least in part on fluid that was previously absorbed into the load. In addition, in some instances, the fluid property may be sensed during a spin phase of a wash cycle to selectively cause a wash cycle to selectively revert to an additional rinse phase when required, or otherwise proceed directly to the remainder of the spin phase to complete the wash cycle.
