A clothes treatment apparatus includes a cooling water pipe that is placed within a condensing duct to condense humidity contained in a circulating air current. The latent heat generated from the condensation of humidity causes the temperature of the cooling water in the cooling water pipe to rise. A thermoelectric pump mechanism collects heat from the higher-temperature cooling water and uses it in heating the circulating air.

Disclosed herein is a laundry machine. More particularly, a laundry machine for generating steam by an induction heater and a control method thereof are disclosed. The laundry machine may include a tub, a drum rotatably arranged in the tub to accommodate an object and provided with a through hole on an outer circumferential surface thereof, a steam induction heater provided at a front upper portion of a front wall or a rear upper portion of a rear wall of the tub to heat a heating surface of the drum facing the steam induction heater, a motor driven to rotate the drum, a spray nozzle configured to spray water onto the heating surface facing the steam induction heater to generate steam, and a processor configured to rotate the drum to introduce the steam into the drum through the through hole in a space between the tub and the drum.

A laundry treating apparatus is provided that may include a cabinet having a laundry opening formed therein, a door mounted to the cabinet to open and close the laundry opening, and a control panel arranged at or on the cabinet. The control panel may include a control panel body that projects forward from a front plate. A combination washing and drying appliance includes a tub positioned within an outer cabinet. A rotating drum includes a perforated wall. The rotating drum is rotationally operable within the tub. A blower delivers process air through an airflow path that includes a processing space within the rotating drum and an interstitial space defined between the tub and the rotating drum. An operable vent is selectively operable between a venting position and a closed position. The operable vent defines a passive flow of ambient air between the processing space and an area outside of the tub. The operable vent is operable to the closed position during a spin function of the rotating drum.
