Clothes treatment apparatus and control method therefor
The present invention relates to a clothes treatment apparatus and, more particularly, to a clothes treatment apparatus for directly heating a drum accommodating clothes. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, provided is a clothes treatment apparatus comprising: a tub; a drum, made of a metal, which accommodates clothes and is rotatably provided inside the tub; and an induction module, provided in the tub so as to have a spacing from a circumferential surface of the drum, for generating an electromagnetic field to heat the circumferential surface of the drum, wherein the induction module comprises: a coil which is formed by winding a wire such that electric current is applied thereto to generate a magnetic field; and a base housing mounted on an outer circumferential surface of the tub, wherein the base housing is provided with a coil slot for defining the shape of the coil in such a manner that the wire is mounted therein so as to have a predetermined distance between wire and wire.
Laundry treatment apparatus and method of controlling the same
Disclosed is a laundry treatment apparatus including a drum formed of a metal material and provided to accommodate laundry therein, an induction module spaced apart from a circumferential surface of the drum and provided to heat the circumferential surface of the drum via a magnetic field that is generated when current is applied to a coil, and a lifter formed of a metal material and provided in the drum to move the laundry inside the drum when the drum rotates. The lifter is provided so as to be recessed in a direction in which a distance between the induction module and the lifter, which face each other, increases.

AUTOMATIC LAUNDRY TREATMENT APPLIANCE WITH LOAD HEIGHT DETECTION
An automatic laundry treating appliance having at least one sensor configured to detect the height of laundry in a treating chamber of the automatic laundry treating appliance is disclosed. Based upon the output of the sensors, a human-perceptible signal is generated to indicate whether the laundry load is below, within or above an optimal range for the laundry load. Further, the automatic laundry treating appliance may communicate to the user after completion of a drying function information related to whether the amount of laundry treated during the drying function exceeded an upper limit for an optimal amount of laundry based upon data acquired during the drying function.
Laundry treatment apparatus
A laundry treatment apparatus includes a cabinet and a drawer retractably provided in the cabinet. An accommodation unit is provided at the drawer and defines a space configured to receive washing water. The laundry treatment apparatus includes a guider. The guider includes a first body rotatably coupled to the cabinet, and a second body rotatably coupled to the first body and the drawer and configured to connect the first body to the drawer. A supply unit is connected to a water supply source. A water supply channel is provided along the guider and is configured to supply water between the supply unit and the accommodation unit.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS HAVING INDUCTION HEATER
A laundry treating apparatus includes a tub, a drum for receiving an object therein, an induction heater for heating an outer circumferential face of the drum, a motor for rotating the drum, and a power supply for supplying power from an external power source to the laundry treating apparatus, a relay for interrupting current to be applied from the power supply to the induction heater via an electrical wire, a processor connected to the relay via a control wire and configured to control an operation of the relay and to control an operation of the induction heater and an operation of the motor, and a first safety device disposed at the control wire to interrupt a control signal to be applied from the processor to the relay. The first safety device operates in response to a temperature change thereof.
