WATER TEMPERATURE EVALUATION METHOD USING IMAGE RECOGNITION IN A LAUNDRY APPLIANCE
A laundry appliance includes a basket rotatably mounted within a cabinet and defining a chamber configured for receiving a load of clothes, a water supply valve for regulating a flow of water into the chamber, and a camera assembly mounted within the cabinet in view of the chamber. A controller is configured to determine that the water supply valve is open to permit the flow of water into the chamber, identify an anticipated fog condition within the chamber based at least in part on the water supply valve being open, obtaining one or more images of the chamber using the camera assembly, analyzing the one or more images of the chamber to determine an actual fog condition in the chamber, and implementing a responsive action if the actual fog condition is different than the anticipated fog condition, e.g., providing a user notification.
TRAVEL CYCLE FOR A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE
A washing machine appliance includes a wash tub positioned within a cabinet, a wash basket rotatably mounted within the wash tub, and a user interface panel positioned on the cabinet for facilitating user interaction with the washing machine appliance. A controller is configured to receive a command to initiate an appliance travel cycle and implement a responsive action to prepare the washing machine appliance for travel. The responsive action may be the automated adjustment of one or more operating parameters of the washing machine, such as performing a load sensing procedure, rinsing the wash tub, closing the water supply valves, etc. In addition, the responsive action may include providing a user instruction to prepare the washing machine appliance, e.g., by plugging bulk reservoirs, removing hoses, addressing any error codes, etc.
TRAVEL CYCLE FOR A COMBINATION WASHER AND DRYER APPLIANCE
A laundry appliance and a method of operating the same are provided. In one aspect, the laundry appliance includes a laundry basket rotatably mounted within a tub that defines a chamber that is in fluid communication with a conditioning system of the laundry appliance that circulates heated air through the chamber. A controller is configured to receive a command to initiate an appliance travel cycle and implement a responsive action to prepare the laundry appliance for travel. The responsive action may be the automated adjustment of one or more operating parameters of the laundry appliance, such as performing a load sensing procedure, rinsing and/or drying the chamber, closing the water supply valves, etc. In addition, the responsive action may include providing a user instruction to prepare the laundry appliance, e.g., by cleaning the lint filter, emptying the condensate collection tank, removing hoses and cables, addressing any error codes, etc.
Motor driving apparatus and laundry treating apparatus including the same
Provided are a motor driving apparatus and a clothing treatment apparatus including the same. The motor driving apparatus includes an inverter unit including a plurality of upper switches and a plurality of lower switches and configured to output AC power to a motor by a switching operation and a processor configured to control the inverter unit to perform power generation braking by maintaining the plurality of upper switches in a full off state and maintain the plurality of lower switches in a full on state. The processor performs a current control step of complementarily switching phase currents flowing into the plurality of upper switches and the plurality of lower switches prior to the power generation braking.
