Laundry machine
A laundry machine includes first and second washing units including first and second tubs, respectively. First and second drums are mounted inside the first and second tubs, and first and second drive units drive rotations of the first and second drums around first and second rotational shafts, respectively. The second washing unit is arranged above the first washing unit and has a smaller laundry treating capacity than the first washing unit. The first rotational shaft is not parallel to the second rotational shaft. A first recess projects downward from a rear lower surface of the second tub and is configured to heat wash water in the second tub. A metal plate member is provided on an outside lower surface of the second tub, and partially extends to the rear of the second tub to expose a bottom surface of the first recess.

Clothes treating apparatus
A clothes treating apparatus includes a case including a treatment chamber for holding clothes, a steam unit for supplying steam to the treatment chamber, a tank module storing water to be supplied to the steam unit, a valve unit disposed in a flow channel connecting the tank module and the steam unit, a water supply pump for generating driving power to transmit water stored in the tank module to the steam unit, and a control unit controlling the steam unit and the water supply pump, wherein the valve unit opens or closes the flow channel by at least one of water and steam flowing in the flow channel.
Laundry treating appliance having a user interface and methods of operating same
A laundry treating appliance includes a treating chamber provided for receiving laundry for treatment, a controller having a memory in which is stored a set of executable instructions including a set of cycles of operations. The laundry treating appliance also includes a user interface operably coupled with the controller and having a touchscreen configured to provide an input and output function for the controller.
CLOTHES DRYING SYSTEMS HAVING CONTROL BASED ON SURROUNDING TEMPERATURE DETECTION
A clothes drying system includes an apparatus that comprises a drying air circuit. A temperature sensor provides a signal indicative of a temperature of an environment outside the apparatus. A memory and processing circuitry is coupled to the memory. The memory includes logic that, when executed by the processing circuitry, directs at least one of: (i) a vent air control valve to change an amount of heated air flowing from the drum through the vent air control valve and into the environment based on the signal from the temperature sensor, (ii) a fan to change a flow rate of air flowing through the drying air circuit based on the signal from the temperature sensor, and (iii) a heater to change an amount of heat provided to the air flowing through the drying air circuit based on the signal from the temperature sensor.
Laundry machine having induction heater and control method of the same
A laundry machine includes a tub, a drum that is rotatably mounted in the tub, and an induction heater that is provided in the tub and configured to heat an outer circumferential surface of the drum. The laundry machine also includes a motor that is configured to rotate the drum, a temperature sensor that is configured to sense the temperature inside the tub, an instantaneous power output unit configured to calculate and output an instantaneous output, and a processor that controls drum rotation speed and heat-spinning by controlling the induction heater. The processor may control the output of the induction hater to be variable based on the output of the instantaneous power output unit.

LAUNDRY TREATING APPLIANCE FOR DRYING LAUNDRY
A method of operating a laundry treating appliance with a treating chamber for treating a load of laundry the method comprising supplying a rinse to the treating chamber during a rinse cycle, rotating the treating chamber at a tumbling speed, spinning the treating chamber in an extraction cycle to remove excess moisture from the load of laundry, sensing a parameter indicative of a remaining moisture content value in the load of laundry, comparing the remaining moisture content value to a pre-determined remaining moisture content value.
WATER SPRAY FEATURE OF AN APPLIANCE FOR SEPARATING PARTICULATE MATERIAL FROM A FILTER MEMBER
A laundry appliance includes a tub having a rear wall. A drum is rotationally operable within the tub. An air flow path extends through an air flow port defined within the rear wall. A lint filter is positioned within the air flow port. A fluid spray system extends through the rear wall and directs a flow of fluid over the air flow port and the lint filter in a direction generally parallel with an inside surface of the rear wall.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet including a front panel having a detergent opening defined therein; a tub disposed inside the cabinet; a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub; and a detergent storage unit retracting into the cabinet through the detergent opening. A detergent to be supplied to the drum is stored in the detergent storage unit. The front panel has an opening extension portion extending from a periphery of the detergent opening toward an inside of the cabinet. The apparatus further includes a protective casing disposed inside the cabinet and coupled to the opening extension portion. The protective casing surrounds at least a portion of the detergent storage unit retracting into the cabinet through the detergent opening. The protective casing includes an opening protection wall constructed to cover an inner face of the opening extension portion facing toward the detergent opening to protect the opening extension portion.
