Laundry system for washing multiple loads of fabric items

A laundry system performs a washing function to wash multiple load of fabric items. The system can include a first wash chamber for washing a first clothes load, a tub, and a wash basket rotatably mounted within the tub and defining a second wash chamber, which has a low capacity relative to a capacity of the first wash chamber. The laundry system is capable of performing a washing operation in the second wash chamber independently of a washing operation performed in the first wash chamber.

Laundry washing machine with dynamic damping force optimization

A laundry washing machine and method implement dynamic damping force optimization during a wash cycle to optimize a force-generating operation such as a spin operation performed during the wash cycle. The dynamic damping force optimization may utilize inputs from a suspension force sensor in combination with an accelerometer to dynamically determine a damping capability for a suspension of a laundry washing machine such that damping in the suspension system may be maintained within the damping capability of the suspension system to balance operation performance against the generation of undesirable forces and vibrations.

Laundry system

A laundry system includes a washing machine having a first wash chamber and a washing module below the first wash chamber. The washing module includes a drawer and a rotatably-mounted wash basket defining a second wash chamber with a low capacity relative to a capacity of the first wash chamber.

Laundry system

A laundry system includes a laundry appliance having a front-loading wash chamber in which a first clothes load can be washed and a module above the front-loading wash chamber. The module includes a rotatably mounted wash basket defining a top-loading wash chamber in which a second clothes load can be washed.

Modular laundry system

A modular laundry system includes at least one laundry appliance and at least one laundry module below the laundry appliance. Both the laundry appliance and the laundry module have a single width. The laundry module has a height that is less than the height of the laundry appliance and performs a washing function to wash laundry.

Wall-mounted drum washing machine and method for sensing mounting abnormality and fall thereof

Provided is a wall-mounted drum washing machine which includes a rear panel having a buffer member interposed between a through-hole and a wall surface and mounted on the wall surface through a fastening member inserted through the through-hole, a tub containing wash water and supported by the rear panel, and a box unit coupled to the rear panel so as to surround the tub. The wall-mounted drum washing machine includes a sensor configured to sense a contact state between the rear panel and the wall surface, a control unit configured to determine a mounting abnormality of the drum washing machine based on the sensed contact state, and a power supply unit configured to control power supply according to the determination result of the control unit.

WASHING MACHINE

Provided is a washing machine including: a packing water-sealing part having a packing component arranged between an upper end part of the tub and an upper end part of the drum to inhibit water from leaking outwards from the tub; a labyrinth part adopting a labyrinth structure and for arranging ribs lower than the packing water-sealing part between an tub cover and the upper end part of the drum at an inner side of the packing water-sealing part; and a hopper serving as a heightened drum and arranged integrally with the tub cover for retaining water whose water level is higher than a water level at the upper end of the drum.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PREDICTING AND PREVENTING A CABINET STRIKE EVENT IN A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE

Systems and methods for predicting and preventing a cabinet strike event in a washing machine appliance are provided. An exemplary method includes ramping a target speed of a motor from a first speed to a second speed over a ramping period. The method includes computing an average deviation of an observed speed of the motor from the target speed over the ramping period. The method includes computing an average power consumption by the motor over the ramping period. The method includes determining whether both the average deviation is greater than a first threshold value and the average power consumption is greater than a second threshold value. The method includes rebalancing the load if both the average deviation is greater than a first threshold value and the average power consumption is greater than a second threshold value. The method includes performing one or more standard operations if both conditions are not satisfied.

Multi-faceted appliance height-adjustment mechanism

An appliance height-adjustment mechanism includes a support block having a plurality of supporting faces, a plurality of height-adjustment surfaces defined by at least a portion of the supporting faces of the support block, each height-adjustment surface being further defined by a lateral spacing flange extending perpendicularly from each height-adjustment surface and a plurality of support surfaces defined by at least a portion of the plurality of supporting faces, wherein each support surface corresponds to a cooperating height-adjustment surface of the plurality of height-adjustment surfaces, wherein the support block includes a plurality of support positions, and wherein each of the plurality of support positions is defined by one of the support surfaces being a respective base of the support block and the corresponding height-adjustment surface defining a dedicated appliance height above the respective base.
