A first speed rotating may control the drum to accelerate the drum to rotate at a first speed, a braking may apply a brake to stop the drum, a second speed accelerating may accelerate the drum to a second speed, a current sensing may sense a current being applied to the motor during the drum is accelerated to the second speed, and a laundry amount determining may determine a laundry amount based on the current sensed in the current sensing.

A laundry treating apparatus is described. The laundry treating apparatus includes a plurality of light emitting diodes (LEDs) mounted on a printed circuit board (PCB). The laundry treating apparatus further includes a light guide that includes an inner wall and an outer wall and ribs located between the inner wall and the outer wall, the ribs defining cells that are configured to accommodate the plurality of LEDs. The laundry treating apparatus further includes a window that is configured to allow light emitted from the plurality of LEDs to pass through. Each rib includes a ridge portion that decreases in thickness toward the window and is pointed toward the window.

The washing tank is provided with through holes for allowing water to flow between the washing tank and the outer tank. Discharging ports for discharging water into the washing tank from the upper side through the water path are arranged around whole area of the circumferential direction S of the washing tank.

The drawer seat is fixed or fixable to the front wall (4) at the drawer aperture (60) so that the drawer (63) is coupled in a retractable manner to the front wall (4). Outer dashboard (11) and/or the drawer seat (61) includes a cover surface (101a) located externally to the casing (2) in front of the crosspiece front surface (66a), so as to cover the latter when the laundry treatment device (100) is in an assembled configuration.

Further, a method for processing information about a treatment performed by a domestic appliance, wherein the information is encoded by a two-dimensional code on a graphic display of the appliance. The method includes detecting the two-dimensional code by a camera or scanner, decoding the code, and indicating the decoded information on a display, and/or transmitting the decoded information to a computer device via the internet, and/or processing the decoded information by an application software.
