A magnetic necktie retainer device is provided that retains a necktie to the shirt of a wearer without piercing or otherwise damaging the shirt. The device comprises a front backing plate and a rear backing plate. The backing plates are magnetically attracted to each other such that the rear backing plate is positioned under the wearer's shirt, while the front backing plate is positioned between the necktie and the outside of the wearer's shirt. The two backing plates magnetically secure together, while a necktie retainer article extends from the front backing plate to engage the necktie. The retainer article may comprise a clasp, a chain, a necktie bar, or similar structure that secures the necktie to the front backing plate.

An accessory is provided. The accessory is for use with a garment, such as a necktie or others. For example, the necktie includes a knot and an elongated portion extending from the knot downwardly. The accessory includes a helical body. The body includes a first end portion and a second end portion. The first end portion includes a tab extending therefrom. The tab is operative to secure onto the knot via tucking behind the knot such that the body at least partially overlays the knot frontally and extends from the tab helically around the elongated portion at least once and the second end portion is visible below the knot frontally.

A knot tying device for realizing a knot of a tie that has a narrower part and a wider part includes a ring defining an internal cavity for passage of the narrower part and an external surface of support for the wider part; a ferromagnetic body, integral to the ring; and a magnet suitable for resting on the wider part so as to overlap the ferromagnetic body, constraining itself to the ferromagnetic body and blocking the wider part to the ring.

In one embodiment, the device includes a first contoured portion, a second contoured portion, a nose, a hoop, and an ornamental extension, a first end of the first contoured portion and a first end of the second contoured portion being continuous with the nose, a second end of the first contoured portion and a second end of the second contoured portion being continuous with the hoop, the ornamental extension extending from the nose, the first contoured portion configured for receiving a first portion of a tie, the second contoured portion configured for receiving a second portion of the tie, the nose configured to buttress a third portion of the tie, the hoop configured to buttress a fourth portion of the tie, the ornamental extension configured to descend between two portions of the tie.

A necktie system includes a necktie that may be worn around a neck of a user. A first fastener is attached to the necktie and a pair of cups is provided. Each of the cups is mateable such that the pair of cups forms a housing. The housing has the necktie extended therethrough such that the housing retains the necktie around the user's neck. A second fastener is attached to the one of the cups. The first fastener removably engages the second fastener such that the housing is retained in the necktie.

A necktie system includes a necktie that may be worn around a neck of a user. A first fastener is attached to the necktie and a pair of cups is provided. Each of the cups is mateable such that the pair of cups forms a housing. The housing has the necktie extended therethrough such that the housing retains the necktie around the user's neck. A second fastener is attached to the one of the cups. The first fastener removably engages the second fastener such that the housing is retained in the necktie.

In some implementations, a necktie retainer apparatus may include magnetically couplable first and second pieces. The first piece may include a slot with an opening that allows the first piece to be positioned over a button such that the button threads extend through the slot. The second piece may be positioned through a tie loop of a necktie, such that when the second piece is magnetically coupled with the first piece, the necktie is restrained to the article of clothing to which the button is fastened via the tie loop. In some embodiments, magnets may be placed at one or both ends of either or both the first and second pieces, allowing room for the button and tie loop to fit between the pieces after being magnetically coupled.

In some implementations, a necktie retainer apparatus may include magnetically couplable first and second pieces. The first piece may include a slot with an opening that allows the first piece to be positioned over a button such that the button threads extend through the slot. The second piece may be positioned through a tie loop of a necktie, such that when the second piece is magnetically coupled with the first piece, the necktie is restrained to the article of clothing to which the button is fastened via the tie loop. A device that serves both for retaining a necktie against free displacement and also for assisting buttoning of a garment comprises first and second loop elements and a flexible link element, attached at its opposite ends to the link elements. Each loop element defines a compound aperture having a larger end section, through which a button may pass, a smaller end section by which an element fastening the button may be engaged and secured by shifting of the loop element relative thereto, and a constricting neck section formed at the intersection of said larger and smaller end sections of said loop elements for maintaining the fastening element the button against unintentional release from the smaller end section of the loop element.
