A device that serves both for retaining a necktie against free displacement and also for assisting buttoning of a garment comprises first and second loop elements and a flexible link element, attached at its opposite ends to the link elements. Each loop element defines a compound aperture having a larger end section, through which a button may pass, a smaller end section by which an element fastening the button may be engaged and secured by shifting of the loop element relative thereto, and a constricting neck section formed at the intersection of said larger and smaller end sections of said loop elements for maintaining the fastening element the button against unintentional release from the smaller end section of the loop element.

A tethering method includes providing a tether clamp with a mouth portion and a throat portion, where the tether clamp is operable between an open position and a closed position; providing a wearable garment made of pliant material; providing a clamping body sized to pass through the mouth portion and remain disposed in the throat portion of the tether clamp when in the closed position; folding the pliant material of the wearable garment over the clamping body; installing the clamping body with folded material into the throat portion of the tether clamp with the clamping body extending axially through the throat portion and the folded material extending out through the mouth portion; and closing the tether clamp to capture the clamping body with folded material in the throat portion and engage at least two plies of the pliant material in the mouth portion.

A clipping apparatus to keep a towel in place includes an interchangeable embellishment and a towel clip. The towel clip is configured with a first stem, a second stem, and a spring loaded connector as the first stem and the second stem are tensionally connected to each other through the spring loaded connector. A user is able to open the towel clip by compressing the first stem and the second stem together. Once the towel clip is opened and positioned with a bath towel, the first stem and the second stem are released so that the towel clip is able to firmly secure the bath towel against the user's body. The interchangeable embellishment is selectively attached to a front surface of the first stem to enhance the appearance of the towel clip.

The present invention relates to a clothing cord clip usable on clothing, backpack cords/straps, and numerous other cords or straps that include front and back plates that have gripping rails, a pinch ring, curvilinear locking ribs, and raised support ribs. A flexible connector interconnects the front and back plates, allowing the interior surfaces to be opposed, aligned, and press-fitted together, interlocking the curvilinear locking ribs. In operation, a clothing cord or other cord or strap can be positioned between the gripping rails and secured such that the clothing cord clip hangs the cord or strap. In exemplary embodiments, emblems are affixed to the exterior surface of the front and/or back plates. A recess channel in the front and back plates provides a clothing cord ingress and egress pathway through the clothing cord clip. The gripping rails can have teeth along a contact edge to grip the clothing cord.

In some implementations, a necktie retainer apparatus may include magnetically couplable first and second pieces. The first piece may include a slot with an opening that allows the first piece to be positioned over a button such that the button threads extend through the slot. The second piece may be positioned through a tie loop of a necktie, such that when the second piece is magnetically coupled with the first piece, the necktie is restrained to the article of clothing to which the button is fastened via the tie loop. In some embodiments, magnets may be placed at one or both ends of either or both the first and second pieces, allowing room for the button and tie loop to fit between the pieces after being magnetically coupled.

In some implementations, a necktie retainer apparatus may include magnetically couplable first and second pieces. A necktie system includes a necktie that may be worn around a neck of a user. A first fastener is attached to the necktie and a pair of cups is provided. Each of the cups is matable such that the pair of cups forms a housing. The housing has the necktie extended therethrough such that the housing retains the necktie around the user's neck. A second fastener is attached to the one of the cups. The first fastener removably engages the second fastener such that the housing is retained in the necktie.

A modular and customizable tie bar system comprises a tie bar base, one or more tie bar covers, and a fastener. The tie bar base cooperates with a user's tie and comprises at least a mounting surface. Each tie bar cover comprises a cover plate and optional side walls. Each tie bar cover is preferably sized to cover and cooperate with the mounting surface of the tie bar base, has a decorative outer surface, and has an inner surface for facilitating attachment to the base. To facilitate removable attachment of the covers to the base, one or more fasteners such as magnets attach to the inner surface of the cover or to mounting surface of the base or to both. Preferably, several covers with differing decorative outer surfaces cooperate with a single base to allow for interchangeability and customization depending on the user's aesthetic preferences.
