Clothing item separating device and clothing item processing device comprising same

A clothes separating device and a clothes processing apparatus including the clothes separating device according to this disclosure are provided with a separator that operates to grip clothes in a washing tub and to separate, from the gripped clothes, another item of clothes entwined with the gripped clothes. In this manner, a user does not need to separate a plurality of individual items of clothes before folding the clothes. Hence, it is possible to provide the clothes separating device that contributes to reducing a burden of work related to laundry and a clothes processing apparatus including the clothes separating device.

ROBOTIC LAUNDRY SEPARATING AND REPOSITIONING DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS OF USE

A system for separating and spreading apart an amassed plurality of deformable articles includes an elongated platform configured to receive thereon adjacent an inlet end the amassed plurality of deformable articles. A plurality of arms is disposed in series along the platform. Grippers of each of the plurality of arms are configured to grasp in sequence at least one of the amassed plurality of deformable articles and move the at least one article toward an outlet end opposite the inlet end. The system includes a surface adjacent the outlet end and a last arm in the series of the plurality of arms delivers a separated deformable article into a repositioning work volume above the surface adjacent the elongated platform. Two or more repositioning arms are disposed about the work volume at individually anchored positions for spreading apart and lowering onto the surface the spread apart deformable article for folding.

Garment folding machine and method of controlling the same

The present disclosure relates to a method of controlling a garment folding machine having a plurality of folding layers configured to perform a function of folding a garment or a function of conveying the garment using at least one conveyor, and the method includes a wrinkle removing step of operating a conveyor motor to allow the conveyor to drop one end of the garment from the conveyor, thereby removing wrinkles of the garment using a weight of the garment.

APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PRE-SHRINKING A WET FABRIC PRIOR TO DRYING
20190024277 · 2019-01-24 ·

An apparatus and method for pre-shrinking a wet fabric prior to drying. The apparatus includes, among other components, a balloon extractor station and a hydro-sizer compression station. The balloon extractor station removes some water from the wet fabric. The hydro-sizer compression station is operatively connected to, and disposed downstream of, the balloon extractor station, and compresses the wet fabric in a lengthwise direction, and in so doing, pre-shrinks the wet fabric prior to drying. The method includes, among other steps, extracting some water from the wet fabric so as to form a hydro-extracted and wet fabric, compressing lengthwise the hydro-extracted and wet fabric so as to form a compacted and wet fabric that is now pre-shrunk prior to drying, and drying the compacted and wet fabric so as to form a compacted and dry fabric.
