SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USING SOUND TO MONITOR THE OPERATION OF A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE

A washing machine appliance includes a microphone for monitoring sound generated during operation of the washing machine appliance and a controller is operably coupled to the microphone. The controller is configured for obtaining a sound signal generated during operation of the washing machine appliance and converting the sound signal into a spectrogram that represents a sound frequency and a sound amplitude over time. An artificial intelligence image recognition process is used to analyze the spectrogram to identify one or more sound signatures that are associated with particular operating conditions, and operation of the washing machine appliance is adjusted based at least in part on the identification of the sound signature.

WATER LEVEL DETECTION SYSTEM FOR A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE AND METHODS FOR OPERATING THE SAME

A washing machine appliance includes a sump for collecting wash fluid and a water supply valve for supplying the wash fluid during a fill cycle. A controller is configured for detecting when a pressure sensor of a water level detection system is partially blocked and implementing an incremental fill process. Specifically, the controller is configured for determining a remaining fill volume for the wash fluid to reach the target fill volume, opening the supply valve to provide a fraction of the remaining fill volume into the sump and then closing the supply valve, determining that a sump pressure measured by the water level detection system has stabilized, and repeating these steps until a stopping criterion occurs, such as when a fill cycle limit or a target volume is achieved.

WASHING MACHINE AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME

A washing machine and a method of controlling the washing machine are provided. The washing machine includes a display configured to display a washing course and a first washing option set corresponding to the washing course, an inputter configured to receive a user's option change command for changing at least one washing option among a plurality of washing options included in the first washing option set from a user, a storage configured to store a washing option set including the changed at least one washing option, and at least one processor configured, based on the storage of the washing option set being more than a predetermined number of times, to control the first washing option set to be changed to a second washing option set based on the changed at least one washing option.

Accessory used for washing machine

The present invention relates to an accessory used for a top-loading washing machine having: a cabinet for forming the outer appearance thereof; a drum rotatably provided in the cabinet, and of which the upper surface is opened so as to accommodate objects to be treated; and a laundry inlet provided at the upper surface of the cabinet, and washing machine accessory comprises: a body forming the exterior thereof and having a closed inner space; one or more ultrasonic wave generators provided inside the body; and a control unit formed so as to control the ultrasonic wave generator, wherein the body is formed in a shape in which a cross sectional area thereof is gradually reduced from the bottom toward the top thereof, such that the center of gravity of the body is located at the lower side thereof.

Apparatus management system

An apparatus management system is provided which includes a bathroom heating and drying apparatus configured to control an air environment in a bathroom space; and a control terminal connected to the bathroom heating and drying apparatus to transmit and receive information to and from the bathroom heating and drying apparatus. The control terminal includes: condition acquisition unit configured to acquire operation information related to a control condition of the bathroom heating and drying apparatus; control condition determination unit configured to determine the control condition of the bathroom heating and drying apparatus, based on the operation information acquired by the condition acquisition unit; and an operating unit configured to operate the bathroom heating and drying apparatus under the control condition determined by the control condition determination unit.

Washing machine appliance and methods for out-of-balance detection and mitigation

A washing machine appliance and a method of detecting and mitigating out-of-balance conditions includes obtaining a subwasher load weight after adding water to the wash tub and obtaining a displacement threshold based at least in part on the subwasher load weight. The wash basket is spun at a first, low speed and the displacement amplitude of the wash tub is measured using a measurement device, such as an accelerometer and gyroscope. The measured displacement amplitude is then compared to the displacement threshold and if the displacement amplitude exceeds the displacement threshold, an agitation element is rotated to agitate or redistribute the load of articles.

Clothes manager and control method thereof

A clothes manager is provided. The clothes manager includes a cabinet including an accommodation space in which clothes are accommodated, a door provided to open and close an opening of the cabinet, a clothes treating device provided to treat the clothes accommodated in the accommodation space of the cabinet, a sensing device configured to detect that a human or an animal enters the cabinet, and a processor configured to output an abnormal detection signal based on a human or animal detection signal transmitted by the sensing device.
