Clothes care apparatus and control method thereof
A clothes care apparatus includes a chamber, a first damper, a second damper, a heat exchanger, at least one blower fan, a sensor portion, and a controller. The first damper is configured to control an airflow from inside the chamber to outside the chamber. The second damper is configured to control the airflow into the chamber from the outside. The heat exchanger is provided with a compressor and configured to exchange heat with air in the chamber. The at least one blower fan is configured to generate the airflow. The sensor portion is configured to obtain a temperature and humidity inside and outside of the chamber. The controller is configured to start a drying cycle, control the first and second damper to be opened or closed, and control the heat exchanger and the at least one blower fan by comparing the internal humidity with the external humidity.
METHOD FOR REMOTELY CONTROLLING A CLEANING CYCLE OF A HOUSEHOLD APPLIANCE
A method and system remotely controlling a cleaning cycle of a household appliance using transmission of wireless signals is provided. Signals are transmitted between a mobile dispensing device arranged in the household appliance and an electronic device. The method determines the strength of a signal received by the mobile dispensing device. The determined strength is compared to a threshold value. If the determined strength is above the threshold value transmission of wireless signals from the mobile dispensing device to the electronic device is enabled. If the determined strength is below the threshold value transmission of signals from the mobile dispensing device to the electronic device is disabled. When transmission of signals is enabled, a status wireless signal comprising status information about the cleaning cycle is sent to the electronic device.
WASHING MACHINE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREOF
A washing machine according to an aspect of the disclosure includes: a tub; a drum rotatably provided inside the tub; a heater configured to heat water; a circulating pump configured to circulate a part of the water stored in the tub; a water level sensor configured to sense a water level of water in the tub; and a controller configured to control the circulating pump to circulate the part of the water stored in the tub, and control revolutions per minute (rpm) of a motor of the circulating pump based on a water level of the water while the water stored in the tub circulates and the heater is driven.
Laundry appliance with user sensing functionality
A laundry treatment appliance having a humidity measuring arrangement comprising a sensing unit for sensing an electric parameter associated with a laundry load housed in a laundry treatment chamber, a processing unit for determining the humidity of the laundry load according to the sensed electric parameter, and a conductive element electrically coupled to the processing unit and arranged such that, when an at least partially conductive body is in proximity of the conductive element, an electric signal is generated by capacity coupling between the conductive element and the least partially conductive body, wherein the processing unit is configured to access a presence or absence of a user near the appliance according to a pattern of the electric signal at the processing unit.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SEEKING OWNER AUTHORIZATION FOR AN APPLIANCE TO ENTER A BOOT LOADER FOR A SOFTWARE UPDATE
An appliance includes an external communication port, such as an RJ45 port, and a wireless communication module in wireless communication with a remote server through an external network. In addition, a controller includes a boot loader segment and is configured to receive a request to access the boot loader segment of the controller, transmit a notification of the request to the remote server using the wireless communication module, receive an access determination from the remote server, e.g., such as an access authorization or denial from an owner, and regulate access to the boot loader segment based at least in part on the access determination.
INTELLIGENT WASHING MACHINE
Disclosed is an intelligent washing machine. A control method for an intelligent washing machine according to an embodiment of the present invention may: predict a washing machine cycle from user information; control the washing machine according to the predicted washing machine cycle; acquire an image of the inside of the drum by means of a camera while the washing machine is being controlled; predict the contamination level inside the drum by using the acquired image; and perform an additional control operation according to the predicted result. The intelligent washing machine may be linked to an Artificial Intelligence module, an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV), a robot, an Augmented Reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, a device related to a 5G service, or the like.
INFORMATION PROCESSING METHOD AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS
An information processing method includes: selecting M blocks as M selected blocks from among N blocks for driving at least one of an actuator or a heater included in an apparatus, in accordance with an input operation performed by an operator; generating an application, by setting the order of the M selected blocks in accordance with an input operation performed by the operator; consulting a rule that prohibits two or more given blocks from being executed in a given order, and when information included in the application that indicates the order of the M selected blocks correlates with the given order, modifying the application by changing the order in which each of the M selected blocks is executed; and outputting the modified application.
LAUNDRY TREATING APPARATUS
A laundry treating apparatus includes a cabinet; a laundry receiving space defined in the cabinet and configured for receiving laundry therein; an insertion opening defined in a front face of the cabinet and in fluid communication with the laundry receiving space; a door rotatably fixed to the cabinet to open and close the insertion opening; a supply unit configured to supply at least one of air or water vapor to the laundry receiving space; a support assembly provided in the laundry receiving space and configured to support the laundry; and a conveying part configured to move the support assembly toward the insertion opening when the door opens the insertion opening.
Laundry treating apparatus having induction heater and control method thereof
Disclosed are an object treating apparatus, and more particularly, an object treating apparatus for heating a drum using an induction heater and a control method thereof. The object treating apparatus includes a tub; a drum rotatably disposed within the tub and accommodating an object therein; an induction heater disposed on the tub and configured to heat an outer circumferential face of the drum contacting the heater; a motor to rotate the drum; and a processor configured to control an operation of the induction heater to dry the object, wherein the processor is configured to: control revolution per minute (RPM) of the drum to perform at least two drum motions having at least two different target RPMs respectively when drying the object.
Self cleaning sump cover
A fluid flow system for a laundry appliance includes a blower that delivers process air along an airflow path having a heat exchanger. A drain channel receives condensate from the heat exchanger and fluid spray from a spray nozzle for directing lint particles to the drain channel and on to a sump for collecting fluid, including the condensate. A pump seat and a fluid outlet are integrally formed in a sump cover. A pump directs the fluid from the sump to the fluid outlet. A fluid level sensor detects at least minimum and maximum capacities of the fluid in the sump. When the fluid is below the minimum capacity, the pump defines an idle state. When the fluid reaches the minimum capacity, the pump defines an active state. When the fluid exceeds the maximum capacity, the pump directs the fluid to the fluid outlet.
