According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method of controlling wash timing using an intelligent washer comprises determining to perform a wash, calculating a required time for the wash, predicting a return time of the user, and determining a start time of the wash to terminate the wash corresponding to the return time. According to an embodiment, the washer may be related to artificial intelligence (AI) modules, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robots, augmented reality (AR) devices, virtual reality (VR) devices, and 5G service-related devices.

WASHING MACHINE AND LIQUID ADDITIVE SUPPLY DEVICE FOR THE SAME
20170233933 · 2017-08-17 ·

A washing machine with a liquid additive supply device capable of sensing an amount of liquid additive contained therein. A buoyancy body and a sensing unit are disposed in a reservoir tank of the liquid additive supply device. The vertical position and therefore the distance between the buoyancy body and a sensing unit vary with the surface level of liquid additive in the reservoir tank due to buoyancy effect. The buoyancy body may include a magnetic body and the sensing unit can detect the intensity of the magnetic body. The surface level of the liquid additive is too low, the sensing unit can generate a signal indicative of liquid additive shortage.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF OPERATING A WASHING MACHINE APPLIANCE TO DETECT AND MITIGATE OUT-OF-BALANCE CONDITIONS
20220307186 · 2022-09-29 ·

A washing machine appliance includes a wash basket that is rotatably mounted within a wash tub and that defines a wash chamber for receiving a load of clothes. A motor assembly selectively rotates the wash basket, a drain pump assembly selectively drains wash fluid from the wash tub, and a camera assembly is used to monitor an out-of-balance value to minimize out-of-balance issues. Specifically, a controller of the washing machine appliance uses the camera assembly to obtain one or more images of the wash chamber, analyze the one or more images using a machine learning image recognition process to determine the out-of-balance value of the load of clothes in the wash basket, and perform a cloth redistribution process based at least in part on determining that the out-of-balance value is greater than a predetermined out-of-balance threshold.

USER TERMINAL AND CONTROL METHOD FOR SAME

An electronic device is provided. The electronic apparatus includes a memory in which an application is stored, a display, a position sensor, and a processor which executes the application to acquire user position information corresponding to a user terminal position sensed by the position sensor, and control a display to provide a user interface (UI) for controlling a cycle time of a washing apparatus, the UI being provided on the basis of information related to the cycle time of the washing apparatus and the user position information.

Counterweight of washing machine, washing machine, and counterweighting method for washing machine

A counterweight of washing machine, a washing machine and a counterweighting method for the washing machine relates to the technical field of washing machines. The counterweight of washing machine includes at least one counterweight cavity and at least one pressured water structure; a water entering port for connecting a water entering pipeline and a water draining port for connecting a water draining pipeline are formed on a wall of each of the at least one counterweight cavity; the at least one water pressurizing structure is disposed in each of the at least one counterweight cavity, and is configured to enable water entering each of the at least one counterweight cavity to be in an air-free sealed cavity. The counterweight of washing machine is mainly configured to reduce vibration and nose of the washing machine in work, and reduce the production and transportation cost of the washing machine.

CLEANING AN ITEM

Methods and systems are provided for cleaning an item. The methods and systems include, with a cleaning system programmed to perform the method obtaining, with a location circuit, a location of a cleaning device, the cleaning device to be used to clean the item, based on the location of the cleaning device, determining environmental conditions for that location, and based on the environmental conditions for that location, presenting, via a user interface (UI), a recommendation to improve cleanliness of the item when cleaning the item with the cleaning device.

Dryer appliance having a fire extinguishing system equpped with a multiway inlet valve

A dryer appliance that includes a fire extinguishing system is provided. In one aspect, the dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet. The drum defines a chamber for receipt of articles for drying. The dryer appliance includes a water inlet valve in fluid communication with a steam nozzle operable to deliver water into the chamber to form mist or steam. The dryer appliance also includes an extinguisher nozzle in fluid communication with the chamber of the drum and with the water inlet valve. Upon detection of a fire, water is provided to the extinguisher nozzle and the extinguisher nozzle directs a stream of water into the chamber to extinguish the detected fire.

Water level detection system for a washing machine appliance and methods for operating the same

A washing machine appliance includes a sump for collecting wash fluid and a water supply valve for supplying the wash fluid during a fill cycle. A controller is configured for detecting when a pressure sensor of a water level detection system is partially blocked and implementing an incremental fill process. Specifically, the controller is configured for determining a remaining fill volume for the wash fluid to reach the target fill volume, opening the supply valve to provide a fraction of the remaining fill volume into the sump and then closing the supply valve, determining that a sump pressure measured by the water level detection system has stabilized, and repeating these steps until a stopping criterion occurs, such as when a fill cycle limit or a target volume is achieved.
