Methods for joining strips of synthetic turf by blade-to-loop tuft bonding and for covering a site with synthetic turf
A method for covering a site with synthetic turf includes laying down a first elongate strip of synthetic turf, laying down a second elongate strip of synthetic turf, with the second elongate strip of synthetic turf is laid down substantially adjacent to the first elongate strip of synthetic turf in a manner such that a portion of the second elongate strip partially overlays a portion of the first elongate strip forming a lap joint. The method also includes the step of applying heat and/or pressure to weld the first elongate strip of synthetic turf to the second elongate strip of synthetic turf along the lap joint.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR JOINING FABRIC ITEMS
A system that includes a fabric joining device for manufacturing a fabric item. The fabric joining device includes a first section configured to releasably hold at least a first portion of a fabric item onto a surface of the first section. The fabric joining device also includes a second section configured to releasably hold at least a second portion of the fabric item onto a surface of the second section. One or more first actuators coupled to the second section and configured to rotate the second section toward the first section to fold the second portion of the fabric item onto the first portion of the fabric item and to press the first portion of the fabric item and the second portion of the fabric item together to join the first and second portions of the fabric item.

Double pin seaming element
A seaming element for an industrial textile, and methods of manufacture. The seaming element body is constructed from a single layer of polymeric film that is folded to provide a fold region and arms that comprise a first region, and a further second region. The first region is bonded to surfaces of an edge region of the textile, while the second region comprises a plurality of spaced-apart aligned protrusions extending from the first region, each protrusion comprising an interior space defined by an upper layer; a lower layer; and a loop at the fold region that connects the upper and lower layers. The interior space is divided into an outer securing region and an inner securing region by either a rib member placed between and bonded to an inner surface of at least one of the upper and lower layer, or by bonding a portion of the upper layer with a portion of the lower layer at a constriction zone. The outer securing region is interdigitatable and alignable with the inner securing region of a corresponding second seaming element bonded to another region of the textile, to define a first channel; and the inner securing region is interdigitatable and alignable with the outer securing region of the corresponding second seaming element, to define a second channel. A securing element is placed in the two channels.

Method of Bonding Tarpaulin And Tarpaulin Manufactured Thereby
The present invention is related to a method of bonding tarpaulin and tarpaulin manufactured thereby. More specifically, the present invention is characterized in that the engaging area formed by overlapping the first and second tarpaulin fabrics each other is weld-bonded by means of hot air blowing from the first L-shaped nozzle, and the tarpaulin band is weld-bonded along the upper part of said weld-bonded engaging area by means of hot air blowing from the second L-shaped nozzles, wherein said tarpaulin band is melted in its underside by means of hot air from the second L-shaped nozzles and is weld-bonded to the first and second tarpaulin fabrics to entirely cover the engaging area with a sufficient establishment of a widthwise size. Thus, a better strength is provided in the engaging area and the tarpaulin fabric is improved in its robustness, durability and marketability.
Sealing of pipe liners
The present invention provides a method and apparatus of manufacturing a pipe liner for lining the inside of a pipe, for example a water or sewerage pipe requiring repair. The pipe liner is mainly formed of a fabric sleeve, or a plurality of fabric sleeves, and comprises a fluid-proof barrier coating on the inside surface of the pipe liner. The method involves arranging a strip of carrier material comprising a liquid sealant inside the fabric sleeve of the pipe liner and in registration with two opposing side edges of the sheet of fabric, facing an inner barrier coating of the fabric sleeve. The method can advantageously provide such a pipe liner with an inner barrier coating without everting the pipe liner after manufacture. The present invention may provide for avoiding internal cross-welding of pipe liners and a method for testing the integrity of the barrier coating of pipe liners.
Joining jig and joining apparatus
In a joining jig for disposing a sheet-shaped adherend on one surface side of a sheet-shaped material, folding back the adherend in an end edge portion of the sheet-shaped material, and causing adhesion of an end edge portion of the adherend on the other surface side of the sheet-shaped material, by a tip portion of an attachment piece pivoting in the end edge portion of a placement surface of a placement base, the attachment piece is switchable between a deployment position where an attachment surface to which the adherend is attached is deployed outside the end edge portion of the placement surface of the placement base and a facing position where the attachment surface faces the end edge portion of the placement surface.
Device to apply decorative trim to textile surfaces
A device to apply a trim to textile surfaces is provided that can cut, fold, and adhere end pieces of the trim. The device includes a material holder assembly configured to hold and dispense a roll of trim material and a roll of adhesive material; a control and heating assembly including control inputs, status indicators, control electronics, a heating element and a heating chamber configured to receive the trim material and the adhesive material from the material holder assembly; and a cutting and forming compartment including drive rollers, a cutting device, a folding mechanism configured to fold cut ends of the trim material and the adhesive material, and pressing mechanisms to press the folded cut ends of the trim and adhesive material so that the folded ends are adhered to the remainder of respective trim material lengths.
