Camouflage cover having a visual appearance and visible and IR spectral signatures that closely match a vegetative environment
A camouflage cover that is simple to deploy and store and is robust to all weather conditions and storage cycles provides a close visual match and close visible and IR spectral signature matches to surrounding vegetation. The cover incorporates a mixture of SAP and cellulose pulp containing approximately 90% water laminated between opaque, non-woven Tencel™ layers to emulate the spectral signature of leaves. Outer polymer film layers prevent water evaporation of the SAP. Organic dye-printed patterns can be applied to one or more of the Tencel™ and film layers. The SAP mixture can be limited to leaf regions of the cover, whereby branch regions include cellulose but not SAP. The cover can be petalized by cuts made, for example, along leaf and branch region boundaries. A gloss-controlling aerogel coating can be applied to outer surfaces of the camouflage cover to match a gloss of the vegetation.
Textiles custom printed with antimicrobial nanoparticles
According to various embodiments, a method of forming an image on a fabric and the resulting fabric is disclosed. The method includes providing a printable media including a carrier layer having a first surface comprising a first area and a second surface opposite the first surface. The method includes providing a fabric layer having a third surface and a fourth surface opposite the third surface, the third surface includes a second area. The fabric layer is secured to the carrier layer by the adhesive bonding a first portion of the fourth surface to the first surface. The method includes applying a toner to a first portion of the third surface of the fabric layer. The toner includes antimicrobial nanoparticles on an outer surface of the toner. The method includes fusing the toner to the first portion of the third surface of the fabric layer.
Fabric printable medium
A fabric printable medium includes a fabric base substrate, which includes yarn strands and voids among the yarn strands. The fabric printable medium further includes a finishing coating attached to the yarn strands of the fabric base substrate to form coated yarn strands. The finishing coating includes a first and a second crosslinked polymeric network. The fabric printable medium has pore spaces among the coated yarn strands that coincide with at least some of the voids of the fabric base substrate.
LAYERED SHEET
An object of the present invention is to provide a coloring technique for fiber substrates, the technique being capable of imparting metallic luster and further reducing discoloration. The object can be achieved by a laminated sheet comprising a fiber substrate and a metal element- or metalloid element-containing layer, the fiber substrate holding a sealing material.
PRINTED COMPOSITE NONWOVEN TEXTILE SUITABLE FOR APPAREL AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME
Aspects herein are directed to a printed composite nonwoven textile suitable for use in apparel and other articles and methods of making the same. In example aspects, the printed nonwoven textile includes an interior layer with a printed component that is visible on a first facing side of the printed nonwoven textile that is formed, at least in part, from a first entangled web of fibers, fibers of the interior layer, and/or a colored substance the forms the printed component. When incorporated into an article of apparel, the first facing side is an outer-facing surface of the article of apparel that includes the printed component.
No Sweat Marks Fabric with Moisture Management Function
Examples of a knitted or woven fabric with moisture management function are described, comprising a face fabric layer with a durable water repellency (DWR) additives forming a fabric outer surface that is hydrophobic and a back fabric layer comprising a second yarn that is highly hydrophilic forming a moisture regain core to absorb the moisture and spread it across on an inside surface of the back fabric layer. The outer (face) layer of the fabric is hydrophobic due to the added DWR additives to the first yarn while the inner (back) layer of the fabric is highly hydrophilic that absorbs and spreads the moisture across the inner side of the back layer so that it dries faster making the outer surface of the face fabric layer dry thus reducing the occurrence of water/liquid spots on the face layer outer surface.
ACTIVE AGENT-CONTAINING ARTICLES THAT EXHIBIT CONSUMER ACCEPTABLE ARTICLE IN-USE PROPERTIES
Active agent-containing articles, for example fibrous structures, that exhibit consumer acceptable article in-use properties, such as article peel strength, flexibility, and/or dissolvability, and methods for making same are provided.

Decorative material
A decorative material includes a base material, a first cover layer, and a second cover layer. The first cover layer is laminated on the base material and covers the base material. The first cover layer is made of opaque synthesis resin. The second cover layer is laminated on the first cover layer and covers the first cover layer. The second cover layer is made of chromatic and transparent synthesis resin. The first cover layer contains first coloring pigment and bright pigment. The first coloring pigment has no luster. The bright pigment has luster. The second cover layer contains second coloring pigment. The second coloring pigment has no luster.
Soft Fabric Garment Having Stiff Fabric Structural Elements
A garment made from a soft fabric with stiff fabric support elements. A first fabric forms the primary garment, and at least one support panel formed of a second fabric stiffer than the first fabric is affixed with a selected portion of the primary garment to provide additional structure to a feature of the selected portion.
