Provided is a length adjuster on a wearable device, comprising an arc-shaped shell and a length fine-adjustment mechanism, wherein a first connection rack, a second connection rack, a gear, and a button and a return spring of a gear shaft are provided in the arc-shaped shell; the first connection rack, the second connection rack and the gear are meshed with one another, the gear shaft is connected to a clockwork spring mechanism, the gear shaft and the length fine-adjustment mechanism are in a clutch connection, and the gear shaft and the length fine-adjustment mechanism may be in a clutch connection; and a unidirectional rotation-prevention structure is provided in the length fine-adjustment mechanism, and the unidirectional rotation-prevention structure allows the length fine-adjustment mechanism to drive the gear shaft to rotate in a rotation direction for enabling a clockwork spring to be stretched, and prevents the gear shaft from rotating in the direction opposite to the rotation direction. The length adjuster is provided with a release mechanism for releasing a rotation-prevention effect of the unidirectional transmission structure in the opposite direction, thereby enabling the length fine-adjustment mechanism to drive the gear to rotate in the opposite direction. The length adjuster is capable of arbitrarily adjusting the length and fine-adjustment length, is simple in structure, is applicable to a wearable device, and facilitates the thin design thereof; in addition, the fine-adjustment operation is convenient, and the handfeel is good.

Tourniquet Buckle Assembly

The present invention relates generally to first aid articles and more specifically tourniquets suitable for one handed application. One embodiment of the invention is directed to a tourniquet having a base defining first and second ends. A constricting band is attached to and extends from the first end of the base. A windlass handle is engaged with the constricting band. The constricting band is threaded through a self cinching stepped buckle. A buckle connector includes a hook member that engages the stepped buckle and is partly held in place through urging against a loop of the constriction band.

Restraint Assembly

The restraint assembly includes a mounting plate having a vertical slot. The plate covers an opening in a surface which is located to restrain a patient. An adapter buckle has a T stop which is releasably coupled to the vertical slot. The buckle includes an arm and a head. The head includes a horizontal slot for releasable receipt of a strap of the patient restraint. The arm includes an angular bend which positions the head relative to the plate during use. A lock may be used to prevent undesired separation of the buckle from the plate.

Configurable subshell components in orthopedic devices

A coupling device for an orthopedic brace includes an anchoring member for securing to a frame and protruding therefrom, and a subshell arranged to connect to the frame by the anchoring member. The subshell has a locking element for selectively positioning the subshell on the frame at a plurality of locations. The subshell may include an end portion or contoured edge extending beyond a portion of the frame so as to flex relative to the frame.

Integrated closure device components and methods

A lace tensioning device includes a housing component having an interior region, a first aperture, and a second aperture, and a spool component that is rotatably positionable within the interior region of the housing component. The spool component has a central cylindrical member and a lumen that extends through the central cylindrical portion. The spool component is rotatable within the interior region of the housing component to align one end of the lumen with the first aperture and to align an opposite end of the lumen with the second aperture to enable a lace to be inserted through the first aperture, the lumen, and the second aperture so that opposing ends of the lace are positioned exterior to the housing component. A knot may then be tied in the lace and the lace retracted to couple the lace with the housing component and spool component.

A buffer device has a plate, a moveable ring, and an elastic member. The plate has an insertion hole formed through the plate, a connecting portion, and a retaining hole. The connecting portion and the retaining hole are formed on the plate and are located above the insertion hole of the plate. The moveable ring is moveably mounted out of a front side of the plate and has a slot. The slot is formed through the moveable ring. The elastic member is connected with the connecting portion of the plate and the moveable ring. A top section of the elastic member is wound on the connecting portion of the plate. A bottom section of the elastic member is wound on a top section of the moveable ring and passes through the slot of the moveable ring.

Personal protective device strap connecting buckle assembly

A buckle assembly for selectively connecting first and second straps of a personal protective device. The buckle assembly includes a receiver member and a latch member configured for coupling to a respective one of the straps. The receiver member defines a slot and provides a release arm. The latch member includes a latch tab pivotally connected to a base. In a latched state in which the latch member is disposed within the slot and a latch face is engaged with a capture surface. The release arm disposed over a portion of the latch tab. The latch face can be disengaged from the capture surface in response to an actuation force applied to the release arm. In some embodiments, the receiver member and the latch member incorporate various, complimentary guide surfaces that promote easy insertion of the latch member into the receiver member.
