WEARABLE PROTECTIVE DENIM FABRICS
Provided herein are blended fibers for use in protective clothing which confer protection against electrical arcs and/or flash fire hazards and also have a pleasing appearance, while also being comfortable to wear. The fabrics described herein can be processed to give an aesthetically desired appearance such as a washed denim look.
Battery containing acid resistant nonwoven fiber mat with biosoluble microfibers
Acid-resistant and biosoluble glass compositions and products made therefrom. The glass compositions exhibit acid resistance, durability in white water as may be used in a wet laid fabrication process, and good biosolubility. In another aspect, a glass fiber mat is made from such a glass composition, and may be used in the manufacture of lead-acid batteries, for example as a pasting material or battery separator.
Flame resistant fabric with anisotropic properties
Flame resistant fabrics are formed by warp and fill yarns having different fiber contents. The fabrics are constructed, for example, by selection of a suitable weaving pattern, such that the body side of the fabric and the face side of the fabric have different properties. The fabrics described herein can be printable and dyeable on both sides of the fabric and are suitable for use in military and industrial garments. Methods of forming flame resistant fabrics, and methods for forming garments from the fabrics, are also described.
FLAME-RETARDANT YARN/FABRIC/CLOTHING
The present invention provides a flame-retardant yarn/fabric/clothing, containing the following three types of fibers in percentage by weight percent based on their total weight: modacrylic: 20% to 80%; cellulose: 10% to 50%; and polyimide: 1% to 50%. A vertical burning test is carried out in accordance with GB/T 5455-2014 to test the flame retardance of the flame-retardant yarn, fabric or clothing in the present invention, and the measured char length is lower than 150 mm, 100 or 50 mm. The char length is reduced to different extents, and thus different flame retardance requirements are met.
FIRE RETARDANT FABRIC FOR LATEX FOAM BEDS
A one-fabric fire resistant (FR) solution having 2 or more layers of FR yarns knit together into one fabric, the at 2 or more layers including a face layer and a back layer, the back layer includes a silica yarn.
A METHOD FOR PRODUCING A CELLULOSE PRODUCT AND A CELLULOSE PRODUCT
A method for producing a cellulose product from an air-formed cellulose blank structure, wherein the method comprises the steps; providing a cellulose based material to a first mill, providing a barrier chemistry composition to the cellulose based material before the first mill; milling the cellulose based material and the barrier chemistry additive; providing an air-formed cellulose blank structure, wherein the cellulose blank structure is air-formed from cellulose fibres.
NONWOVEN SUBSTRATES AND METHODS OF MAKING THE SAME
Nonwoven substrates and methods for making nonwoven substrates are provided. The nonwoven substrates have a first material layer containing a first plurality of fibers, a second material layer containing a second plurality of fibers, and a third material layer containing a third plurality of fibers. A first outer surface is formed from the first material layer. The nonwoven substrate has a plurality of elevated regions and a plurality of non-elevated regions disposed on the first outer surface. Fibers of the third plurality of fibers are disposed on the first outer surface in at least some of the plurality of elevated regions.
Structuring Fabric Having Long Warp Knuckles
Described herein is an industrial fabric that exhibits favorable characteristics for the formation of a product thereon, such as tissue paper. The present invention relates to a structuring fabric that has a forming side surface and a machine side surface and comprises interwoven warp and weft yarns. The structuring fabric further comprises at least one long warp knuckle at the forming side surface and at least one weft knuckle near the forming side surface of the fabric.
TEXTILES AND METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR PRODUCING TEXTILES
Textiles are provided that include fibrous cellulosic materials having an -cellulose content of less than about 93%, the fibrous materials being spun, woven, knitted, or entangled. The fibrous cellulosic materials can be irradiated with a dose of ionizing radiation that is sufficient to increase the molecular weight of the cellulosic materials without causing significant depolymerization of the cellulosic materials. Methods of treating textiles that include irradiating the textiles are also provided.
