Security devices
A security device has a flexible strap (26) with a lock unit (28) attached at each end. The strap (26) comprises a plurality of longitudinally extending multi-filament cables or ropes (2) arranged in a substantially planar array embedded in an elastomeric material (4). The cables or ropes (2) have a coating of primer for creating a bond with the elastomeric material (4). The primer may be restricted to the external surface of the cables or ropes (2), or some of the surfaces of the filaments may be free of primer. This facilitates relative movement of the filaments during flexure or compression of the strap (26). Moreover, an extrusion process for manufacturing the strap (26) including a priming station (12) is disclosed.
Lyocell material for cigarette filter and method for preparing same
Disclosed are a lyocell material for a cigarette filter and a method of preparing the same, wherein a crimped tow is manufactured using a lyocell multifilament including low-strength lyocell monofilaments, and thus the ultimately prepared lyocell material for a cigarette filter can exhibit low strength, thereby increasing processing efficiency during the manufacture of the cigarette filter.
STITCH BONDED CLEANING PAD WITH VARIABLE HEIGHT LOOP ELEMENTS
A disposable cleaning pad of stitch-bonded construction adapted to be affixed to a mop head for manipulation across a surface to be cleaned. The cleaning pad includes a sorbent stitching substrate of fleece in layered relation with at least one support layer. A first yarn feed and a second yarn feed are in stitched relation through a stitched portion of the stitching substrate. The first yam feed forms a first loop collection, and the second yarn feed forms a second loop collection. The second loop collection covers a smaller area than the first loop collection and defines a predefined pattern within the stitched portion of the stitching substrate. The second loop collection has an average pile height greater than the first loop collection.
Electronic devices with sound permeable fabric
A pair of headphones may include first and second ear cups that each contain one or more speakers. The speakers may emit audio through a sound-permeable warp knit spacer fabric that is coupled to each ear cup. The warp knit spacer fabric may include inner and outer fabric layers joined by a spacer layer. The outer fabric layer may have first and second regions with different fabric densities. The first region with the greater fabric density may be used to form a label such as an R-shape or L-shape to indicate which ear cup should cover the user's right ear and which ear cup should cover the user's left ear. The denser first region may have diamond-shaped openings of a first size and the less dense second region may have diamond-shaped openings of a second size that is greater than the first size.
Hygro materials for use in making yarns and fabrics
A process is described wherein pile yarn is woven with cotton weft and warp yarns to produce terry fabrics, such as towels. The fabric is then washed in warm water to dissolve the PVA fibers. The amount of fibers dissolved, depends upon the count of the yarn or yarns used. By dissolving the PVA fibers, a hollow air space is produced throughout the pile yarn, corresponding to an increase in the air space in the pile yarn. By increasing the air space in the pile yarn, the resulting towels are softer and bulkier than standard cotton towels. The present invention further relates to pile yarn in terry woven fabric (warp yarn), or weft yarn, in the case of flat fabrics.
FOLDABLE MULTI-PURPOSE NONWOVEN HAND PAD AND METHOD OF USE
A nonwoven hand pad includes a substrate having first and second opposed major surfaces wherein the first major surface includes a first functional region configured for a first cleaning operation, and the second major surface includes at least two functional regions configured for second and third cleaning operations. A method of cleaning using such a pad is also disclosed.
Flame retardant non-woven fabric for mattress and manufaturing method thereof
The present invention relates to a flame-retardant nonwoven fabric for a mattress, and a flame-retardant nonwoven fabric for mattresses comprising flame-retardant rayon (FR-Rayon) staple fibers of 20 to 50% by weight; modacrylic staple fibers of 30 to 60% by weight; polyimide (PI) staple fibers of 10 to 30% by weight; and low melting polyester (LM PET) staple fibers of 5 to 20% by weight provides enhanced flame retarding and mechanical properties.
PART OF A LUGGAGE SYSTEM COMPRISING A NATURAL FIBER MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURE AND REPAIR
The present invention relates to a part of a luggage system, in particular a shell of a hard-shell case or trolley, comprising a natural fiber material. The present invention further relates to a method for the manufacture and a method for the repair of such a part. A part of a luggage system is provided which comprises a fiber-reinforced material, wherein the fiber-reinforced material comprises a natural fiber material and a matrix material. The natural fiber material comprises at least one set of unidirectional fibers which are embedded in and/or impregnated with the matrix material.
METHOD OF MAKING A CLEANING ARTICLE HAVING CUTOUTS
A method of making a cleaning article. The cleaning article has discrete tufts of tow fibers. The discrete tufts are unequally spaced from adjacent tufts, to provide improved collection and retention of debris from a target surface. The cleaning article may be made by cutting out spaces between tufts from a precursor sheet. Optionally the precursor sheet may be attached to a carrier sheet.
WASHABLE SEAT COVER
A cover member is a detachable cover member of seat. The cover member comprises at least a skin material and a lining material which is positioned on a back side of the skin material, the lining material is a multistory cloth which is bonded on the back side of the skin material through bonding agent, the cover member comprises bonded parts which the bonding agent is adhered and non-bonded parts which the bonding agent is not adhered between the the multistory cloth and the skin material. And, the multistory cloth may be a multistory knitting fabric which is knitted by polyester resin-made threads, the bonded part may be arranged in any one out of a net-likeshape, a dot-like-shape and a checkered pattern, the bonded part may be arranged irregularly et cetera.
