ENCAPSULATED QUANTUM CONFINEMENT STRUCTURES AND METHOD OF FABRICATING SAME
A method of fabricating a light emitting device, comprises mixing a first solution containing a polymeric component with a second solution containing quantum-confinement structures, to provide a solution mixture, and dispensing the solution mixture to form a fiber. The fiber is allow to be self-drawn such that at least one section of the fiber has a reduced diameter relative to another section.
CUSHION MATERIAL FOR HOT PRESSING
A cushion material 10 for hot pressing includes a cushion part 1. The cushion part 1 includes a woven fabric 5, in which a twisted yarn is used for at least one of warp 5a or weft 5b, and a polymer material 6 adhered to a surface of a fiber forming the woven fabric 5. The twisted yarn used for at least one of the warp 5a or the weft 5b of the woven fabric 5 is formed by twisting a plurality of texturized yarns made of glass fiber.
Graphitization of Electrospun Polyimide Nanofiber
Laser fabricated graphene fiber which can be prepared from a fluorinated polyimide fiber is disclosed. The graphene fiber exhibits an ultrahigh specific surface area, facilitating excellent electrochemical properties, useful for example in tranducers, capacitors, and micro-supercapacitors.
METAL WIRE AND METAL MESH
A metal wire includes tungsten or a tungsten alloy. The metal wire has a diameter of at most 13 ?m, a tensile strength of at least 4.8 GPa, and a natural hanging length per 1000 mm of at least 800 mm.
HIGH TEMPERATURE MONOFILAMENT ARTICLES
A fabricated part for a high temperature operation including a non-metallic substrate formed of a polymer fabric of woven non-absorbent polymer filament. The substrate is heat-resistant and heat set at a temperature that is above a predetermined operating temperature of an operation of the fabricated part. The heat setting pre-shrinks/heat stabilizes the material, thereby reducing failure during use in high temperature and/or wet applications. The substrate is useful as an endless belt and other applications. The invention further includes an apparatus with a heating device configured to operate at the predetermined operating temperature, and the fabricated part within or extending through the heating device.
HEAT-RESISTANT FIBER STRUCTURE
A heat resistant fiber assembly contains heat resistant fibers having a glass transition temperature of 100 C. or more, the heat resistant fibers being bonded together.
Conveyor belt
The present technology provides a conveyor belt. An upper cover rubber and a lower cover rubber are respectively disposed above and below a core layer so as to sandwich the core layer, which core layer is composed of a plurality of steel cords extending side by side in parallel. The outer diameter of the steel cords is not less than 0.35 mm and not greater than 6.0 mm, and the side-by-side pitch P of the steel cords is greater than 0.35 mm and not greater than 7.0 mm. The steel cords are embedded extending in the longitudinal direction of the conveyor belt.
OIL ABSORBER
An oil absorber is disposed around a rotational driving unit of a robot and absorbs an oil component. The oil absorber includes a defibrated material obtained by defibrating fibers, and a binding material that binds the fibers together. The rotational driving unit includes a motor and a speed reducer coupled to one end portion of the motor. The oil absorber is disposed at least at one of an outer circumferential portion of the speed reducer, surroundings around the motor, and the other end portion of the motor.
Conversion of Organic Material to Doped Nanocarbon Structures via Microwave Plasma Pyrolysis
The present disclosure teaches a method of processing chitin, including providing a source of chitin; and pyrolyzing at least a portion of the source of chitin using a microwave plasma. Pyrolyzing includes producing a nanostructured carbon material including at least one of diamond, ultrananocrystalline diamond (UNCD), graphite, and graphene. Pyrolyzing also includes doping the nanostructured carbon material with at least one element selected from the group consisting of nitrogen and boron. Compositions of matter and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.
ROUND SLING
A round sling for raising loads, consisting of a load-carrying inner nonwoven fabric, which inner nonwoven fabric is formed from a continuous roll of a plurality of supporting threads running substantially parallel to one another and a protective sleeve in the form of a textile protective tube surrounding the inner nonwoven fabric with a radial degree of freedom, the protective tube being a textile fabric woven from warp and weft threads.
