A safety device for equestrian sports uses at least one hook-and-loop fastener for connecting ends of the control lines for guiding a horse such that the ends of the control lines will separate and thereby stop a fallen rider or driver from being dragged by a horse or a horse drawn vehicle.

A device having a rod implement configured to extend across an edge of a peripheral portion of a brim or visor of a cap. The rod implement has an outer surface configured to provide a visible portion of said rod implement. A decorative element joined with said outer surface. An inner surface configured to engage the edge of the peripheral portion. A channel section with a generally concave shape that is configured to receive the edge of the peripheral portion. And, a fastening mechanism configured to join with said inner surface, wherein said fastening mechanism is deformable upon engagement with the edge of the peripheral portion, and wherein said deformation is configured to create a spring tensioned force that firmly retains said device to the edge of the periphery portion.

Described is a fastening tape that includes improved attachment systems. To increase the effectiveness of attaching the fastening tape to a component foam, the bottom or underside of the fastening tape includes one or more membranes. The one or more membranes are attached to the bottom surface of the fastening tape at one or more attachment portions. To strengthen the attachment between the fastening tape and the component foam, the membrane may include one or more non-attachment portions in the form of open spaces or pockets into which the component foam may flow when introduced into the mold.

One aspect of the present invention provides a fastening strap for fixing a seat covering to a seat cushion of a car. The fastening strap includes a plurality of fastening sections connected in series and each of the fastening section comprises: a substrate having a plurality of hooks formed on a surface thereof; at least one magnetic member disposed on the surface of the substrate; a protective member disposed along a periphery of the substrate to encircle the plurality of hooks; and a flexible connecting portion integrally extending from one end of the substrate in a longitudinal direction of the fastening section to connect to an adjacent fastening section in a spaced apart manner.

A collar is provided for securing a pet's apparel. The collar includes fasteners on the underside that are used to connect to fasteners located on the pet's apparel.

A method of forming a retaining device with hooks, wherein: a molding strip is provided that presents an inside face and an outside face, and that has a plurality of cavities, each cavity defining a stem extending from the outside face towards the inside face and including an end forming a head that extends from the stem towards the inside face of the molding strip; and the molding strip is positioned on rotary drive means, comprising at least two rollers, the inside face of the molding strip being arranged to bear against the drive means.

Provided is a hook-and-loop fastener female member including an engaging layer adopting a non-woven fabric, the hook-and-loop fastener female member being excellent in engaging force with a hook-and-loop fastener male member. The hook-and-loop fastener female member of the present invention includes an engaging layer engageable with a male member, in which the engaging layer includes a non-woven fabric of fiber, in which the non-woven fabric in the engaging layer has a density of from 5 kg/m.sup.3 to 110 kg/m.sup.3, and in which the fiber has a diameter of from 15 μm to 60 μm.

The hook-and-loop fastener female member of the present invention includes an engaging layer engageable with a male member, in which the engaging layer includes a non-woven fabric of fiber, in which the non-woven fabric in the engaging layer has a density of from 5 kg/m.sup.3 to 110 kg/m.sup.3, and in which the fiber has a diameter of from 15 μm to 60 μm.

A shaped hook member of hook-and-loop fastener including a base plate and a plurality of hook-type engaging elements that rise from a surface of the base plate. The hook-type engaging elements are each tapered from the proximal end to the distal end, and are each curved from a point in the course from the proximal end to the distal end, and the distal end is directed toward the base plate. The plurality of hook-type engaging elements are arranged in rows extending in the same direction as the curving direction of the hook-type engaging elements, and the curving directions of the hook-type engaging elements in two adjacent rows or two adjacent units each of two or more rows are opposite to each other. The base plate and the hook-type engaging element are formed of a semi-aromatic polyamide resin containing a semi-aromatic polyamide and an elastomer.

Described is a fastening tape that includes a plurality of attachment portions extending upwardly from a bottom portion of the fastening tape. The fastening tape also includes at least one inner wall disposed adjacent to at least some of the plurality of attachment portions and at least one outer wall offset from the at least one inner wall such that a cavity is disposed between the at least one inner wall and the at least one outer wall. Finally, the fastening tape includes an injected foam member disposed in the cavity.
