A traversable measuring device (15) for determining a cross direction profile of a property of a moving lignocellulose-containing fiber web (2). The measuring device has a property measuring sensor (23) for determining a measurement result representing the property of the web at multiple cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4), a position measuring sensor (24) for determining the cross directional measurement position of the property measuring sensor associating to the respective measurement result, and an analysis device (25) for receiving the measurement results and the respective cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4) and for allocating the measurement results with the respective cross directional measurement positions for forming the cross direction profile of the web property (2). The measuring device has a mounting bracket (16) that is detachably fixable with quick clamping for fastening the measuring device at a measurement site in a fiber web machine (1).

A paper machine clothing draw-in device for drawing a paper machine clothing, in particular a drying screen, into a machine designed to produce and/or finish a material web, in particular a fibrous web, such as a paper, board or tissue web. The draw-in device includes a force-distributing element, which is designed to distribute a tensile force, which acts substantially at a point, substantially uniformly along a line. Here, the paper machine clothing draw-in device includes a plurality of such force-distributing elements, which are designed to become or to be connected to each other in normal use.

A method of forming a forming mold screen including providing a die plate defining a plate contour and a die center point. A screen is disposed on the die plate. A retainer plate secured to the die plate defines an opening having a retainer center point substantially aligned with the die center point. The screen is disposed between the die plate and the retainer plate and substantially defines a plane. A nested punch unit inserted into the opening includes an inner punch and an outer punch disposed around the inner punch. The inner punch and the outer punch are aligned along an axis substantially aligned with the retainer center point. The screen pressed with the nested punch unit includes pressing the screen with the inner punch followed by pressing the screen with the outer punch.

One aspect of the present invention provides an estimation device for estimating the degree of pitch production in a water system, or the degree of hindrance due to pitch. This estimation device comprises a turbidity information acquisition unit, a relationship model information acquisition unit, and an estimation unit. The turbidity information acquisition unit acquires turbidity information including the turbidity of the water system. The relationship model information acquisition unit acquires relationship model information which was generated in advance, and which indicates the relationship between the degree of pitch production or the degree of hindrance due to pitch, and turbidity. The estimation unit estimates the degree of pitch production or the degree of hindrance due to pitch, on the basis of the turbidity information and the relationship model information.
Paper-specific moisture control in a traveling paper web
A network-based system and method for providing desired moisture set point values for individual papers lines based on the physical properties of each liner and the atmospheric conditions associated with a corrugator is disclosed. The desired moisture set point values are based on the hygroexpansivity of each individual paper liner. Once the moisture set point value has been determined, a conditioning apparatus adjusts a moisture value for each liner in order to tune the post-warp characteristics of the final corrugated product.
