A fiber body forming apparatus including an accumulating unit that has a release unit that releases a material containing a fiber and that has an accumulating member on which the material released from the discharging unit accumulates, a sheet substrate supply unit that supplies a sheet substrate to a position vertically below the release unit, and a control unit that controls operation of the accumulating unit and the sheet substrate supply unit, in which the control unit controls the operation of the accumulating unit and the sheet substrate supply unit to selectively execute a first mode for causing the material to accumulate on the accumulating member and the second mode for supplying the sheet substrate to the position vertically below the release unit and causing the material to accumulate on the sheet substrate.
Fibrous body accumulating device and fiber structure producing device
A fibrous body accumulating device includes: a drum having an opening for releasing a material containing fibers and rotating around a central axis; and a first dispersion member disposed in the drum and at a position unevenly distributed vertically below the central axis, and dispersing the material in the drum. Preferably, the fibrous body accumulating device further includes a second dispersion member disposed in the drum and at a position unevenly distributed vertically above the central axis, and dispersing the material in the drum.

A defibrated material manufacturing device is configured to defibrate a feedstock of clumps of shreds containing fiber into defibrated material. The defibrated material manufacturing device has a removal device, a metering device, storage device, and a defibrator. The removal device is configured to remove at least a part of foreign matter contained in the feedstock. The metering device is configured to measure the feedstock that has passed the removal device. The storage device is configured to store a measured feedstock measured by the metering device. The defibrator is configured to defibrate the measured feedstock supplied from the storage device into the defibrated material.
Defibrated material manufacturing device
A defibrated material manufacturing device is configured to defibrate a feedstock of clumps of shreds containing fiber into defibrated material. The defibrated material manufacturing device has a removal device, a metering device, storage device, and a defibrator. The removal device is configured to remove at least a part of foreign matter contained in the feedstock. The metering device is configured to measure the feedstock that has passed the removal device. The storage device is configured to store a measured feedstock measured by the metering device. The defibrator is configured to defibrate the measured feedstock supplied from the storage device into the defibrated material.
COARSE CRUSHER
A coarse crusher includes a coarsely crushing unit configured to coarsely crush a sheet piece having an elongated shape, a hopper having a feed opening through which the sheet piece is fed to the coarsely crushing unit, the hopper being configured to feed the sheet piece putted into the hopper to the coarsely crushing unit through the feed opening, and a posture adjuster configured to adjust posture of the sheet piece. The hopper includes two guide plates facing each other with the feed opening therebetween and configured to guide the sheet piece to the coarsely crushing unit and two coupling plates coupling the two guide plates to each other. The posture adjuster includes a protrusion disposed on at least one of the coupling plates and protruding toward an inner side of the hopper. The posture adjuster is configured to come in contact with the sheet piece being coarsely crushed by the coarsely crushing unit to adjust the posture of a portion of the sheet piece that is remote from the coarsely crushing unit.

A cleaning apparatus includes a cleaning roller configured to rotate about a first rotation axis to clean a component to which paper dust is attached, the cleaning roller having a first area and a second area that is adjacent to the first area in a direction along the first rotation axis and to which more paper dust is attached than to the first area, and a remover configured to rotate about a second rotation axis extending in a direction different from the first rotation axis and configured to come in contact with at least a portion of the second area to remove the paper dust from the second area.

A process for making a paper product comprising: providing a forming fabric; causing the forming fabric to rotate such that an upper surface of the forming fabric moves in a machine direction; providing a multi-layer headbox comprising first and second inlet headers and a slice outlet; providing a first aqueous slurry of first fibers to the first inlet header and a second aqueous slurry of second fibers to the second inlet header; combining streams of the first and second aqueous slurries to define a jet exiting the slice outlet; emitting the jet onto the upper surface of the forming fabric to form a web; causing the forming fabric to oscillate in a direction transverse to the machine direction, whereby at least a significant number of the first fibers are caused to align in a direction that deviates from the machine direction; and forming the paper product from the web.

A transporting apparatus includes a pressurizing roller that transports a web-like or sheet-like transport target object and a heating roller disposed downstream of the pressurizing roller in a transport path, a first bottom sensor and a first top sensor that are disposed between the pressurizing roller and the heating roller, a measuring section that measures a time from when the transport target object is detected by the first bottom sensor until the transport target object is detected by the first top sensor, and a rotation control section that modifies a rotation speed of the heating roller when a time measured by the measuring section is shorter than a first reference time.

A fibrous body manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a fibrous body includes an accumulating section that accumulates a sheet-shaped fibrous material containing a plurality of fibers, a droplet discharging section that discharges, as droplets, a binding material that binds the fibers of the accumulated fibrous material to each other, and a control section which segments a region in which the liquid is dischargeable onto the fibrous material into a plurality of segments, generates discharge data in which discharge information on the liquid is set for every one of the plurality of segments, and causes the liquid to be discharged from the droplet discharging section toward the fibrous material based on the discharge data.
