Drive Arrangement and Drive Arrangement for a Twin-Wire Press
A drive arrangement comprising a roll with a roll bearing, a bearing housing and a motor, wherein the bearing housing of the roll bearing is connected to a frame or a foundation and a drive torque of the motor can be transmitted to the roll. The motor is connected to the bearing housing and a reaction torque of the motor can be transmitted into the bearing housing. This allows avoidance of mechanical stresses introduced into the roll with good accessibility of the rolls.
Process and System for Controlling Temperature of a Circulating Foamed Fluid
A method and system are disclosed for actively cooling a fluid, particularly a foamed fluid. The foamed fluid may comprise a foamed suspension of fibers that is used to form a web. The foamed suspension of fibers is fed around a recirculation loop and actively cooled using a heat exchanger.

Methods of making paper products using a molding roll
A method of making a fibrous sheet. The method includes forming a nascent web from an aqueous solution of papermaking fibers, dewatering the nascent web to form a dewatered web having a consistency from about ten percent solids to about seventy percent solids, moving the dewatered web on a transfer surface, and transferring the dewatered web from the transfer surface to a molding roll at a molding zone. The molding roll includes an exterior and a patterned surface on the exterior of the molding roll. Papermaking fibers of the dewatered web are redistributed on the patterned surface in order to form a molded paper web. The method also includes transferring the molded paper web to a drying section and drying the molded paper web in the drying section to form a fibrous sheet.
Resilient high bulk tissue products
The present invention provides tissue webs and products that are manufactured by non-compressive dewatering and/or drying methods, such as through-air drying, where the webs and products comprise cross-linked fiber. The non-compressively dewatered tissue webs and products have improved sheet bulk and z-direction properties. For example, in one embodiment, the invention provides through-air dried tissue products having good sheet bulk and resiliency, such as a sheet bulk greater than about 15 cc/g and Compression Energy (E) greater than about 1.30 N/m. Surprisingly the foregoing products have sufficient strength to withstand use, such as a GMT greater than about 600 g/3″, but are not overly stiff, generally having a Stiffness Index less than about 12.
Cellulose based film structure and method for producing the same
According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided a cost-effective method of producing cellulose based films by introducing an intense water removal system to the process, and cellulose based films thereof having improved properties.
Web forming device, web forming method, and sheet manufacturing apparatus
A web forming device includes: a defibrator having a variable speed rotor, and configured to defibrate defibration feedstock by rotation of the rotor; an accumulator on which defibrated material defibrated by the defibrator accumulates; a thickness detector configured to detect a thickness of the defibrated material accumulated on the accumulator; and a controller configured to control a rotational velocity of the rotor based on a detection result from the thickness detector. The controller applies either or both a first control and a second control, the first control decreasing the rotational velocity of the rotor when variation in the thickness of the deposited defibrated material detected by the thickness detector exceeds a first tolerance, and the second control increasing the rotational velocity of the rotor when a slope of change over time in a thickness of the deposited defibrated material detected by the thickness detector is less than a second tolerance.
