The measuring device has a property measuring sensor (23) for determining a measurement result representing the property of the web at multiple cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4), a position measuring sensor (24) for determining the cross directional measurement position of the property measuring sensor associating to the respective measurement result, and an analysis device (25) for receiving the measurement results and the respective cross directional measurement positions (P1, P2, P3, P4) and for allocating the measurement results with the respective cross directional measurement positions for forming the cross direction profile of the web property (2). The measuring device has a mounting bracket (16) that is detachably fixable with quick clamping for fastening the measuring device at a measurement site in a fiber web machine (1).
MONITORING SYSTEM
An object is to provide a monitoring system capable of preventing the occurrence of a defect in paper by monitoring the device. The present invention is directed to a monitoring system A having a papermaking machine 1 for manufacturing paper X, an applying device 2 for applying a chemical solution to a site of the papermaking machine directly or indirectly in contact with the paper while the papermaking machine 1 is operated, a control panel 3 for setting an application condition of the applying device 2, a monitoring camera 4 for monitoring a monitoring target site, and a control device 5 connected to the monitoring camera 4 via a network. The monitoring target site is the site of the papermaking machine 1 directly or indirectly in contact with the paper X and/or the applying device 2, and the control device 5 has a computing unit S1 which converts a state of the monitoring target site into a numerical form by using video taken by the monitoring camera 4, a display unit S2 which displays detection data obtained by conversion into the numerical form at the computing unit S1, and a storage unit S3 which stores the detection data.

Method of preparing recycled cellulosic fibers to improve paper production
A system for treating recycled cellulosic fibers to improve paper, board and tissue quality; the system involves fractionating recycled fibers into a short fiber portion and a long fiber portion. The short fiber portion is split into an original short fiber portion and a refinable portion. The refinable portion is processed into glue pulp. The glue pulp is refined to targeted, measured fiber properties. Varying amounts of the glue pulp, original short unrefined fibers, and long unrefined fibers are blended together to form an optimized slurry that is processed by a paper machine into an optimized recycled paper product. The process provides for improved drainage with the same or better paper properties allowing for cost reductions in fabrication.
