Odor control pulp composition
The present technology is directed to fluff pulps with improved odor control as well as methods of making such fluff pulps. A fluff pulp is provided that includes a bleached kraft fiber and a copper ion content from about 0.2 ppm to about 50 ppm by weight of the bleached kraft fiber. The bleached kraft fiber includes a length-weighted average fiber length of at least about 2 mm, a copper number of less than about 7, a carboxyl content of more than about 3.5 meq/100 grams; an ISO brightness of at least 80; and a viscosity from about 2 cps to about 9 cps.
BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITE AND PRODUCT CONTAINING BIODEGRADABLE COMPOSITE
A biodegradable composite includes an organic matter and a porous material, wherein the organic matter has viable bacteria, and a total plate count of the organic matter is greater than or equal to 10.sup.4 CFU/g. The organic matter accounts for 40% to 80% of a weight of the biodegradable composite. The porous material accounts for 20% to 60% of the weight of the biodegradable composite. The biodegradable composite could instantly remove unpleasant odor and accelerate a decomposition process to form compost. A product containing the biodegradable composite is provided as well.
BOARD, METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A BOARD AND A PANEL COMPRISING SUCH BOARD MATERIAL
Boards have a mineral content, including magnesiumoxychloride and/or magnesiumoxysulphate, and may be finished with a DPL laminate decorative layer.
NOVEL COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PAPERMAKING
Compositions and colloidal particles are provided that may be used to improve a papermaking process. The compositions and colloidal particles may include a polymer and an inorganic salt. A papermaking process carried out using the presently disclosed compositions and colloidal particles may produce a paper product that has increased strength properties.
Surface sizing agent for papermaking
To provide a surface sizing agent for papermaking, which has good low foamability and mechanical stability and has an excellent sizing effect. The surface sizing agent for papermaking is a surface sizing agent for papermaking, comprising a composition obtained by polymerizing unsaturated monomers in the presence of a starch, wherein the amount of the starch is 25 to 40 mass % based on the total amount of the starch and the unsaturated monomers, the unsaturated monomers comprise at least a styrenic compound and a (meth)acrylic ester compound, and the amount of the styrenic compound is 10 mass % or more and less than 30 mass %, and the amount of the (meth)acrylic ester compound is 20 to 50 mass %, based on the total amount of the starch and the unsaturated monomers.
Coating compositions comprising ground natural calcium carbonate (GCC)
The present invention relates to a coating composition comprising at least one binder and at least one ground natural calcium carbonate material. The invention further relates to the use of at least one ground natural calcium carbonate material in a coating composition comprising at least one binder as well as to an article that is coated with such a coating composition and a paint comprising such a coating composition.
Sulfonated Lignin-Derived Compounds and uses Thereof
The present invention relates to novel lignin-derived compounds and compositions comprising the same and their use as redox flow battery electrolytes. The invention further provides a method for preparing said compounds and compositions as well as a redox flow battery comprising said compounds and compositions. Additionally, an assembly for carrying out the inventive method is provided.
METHOD FOR MAKING MOISTURE-RESISTANT PAPER
The invention is in the field of papermaking. It provides methods for improving the compressive strength of paper and board by improving the moisture resistance of paper and board. The invention also provides paper and board with an improved compressive strength as well as a composition for improving the compressive strength of paper and board. More in particular, the invention relates to a process for the manufacture of paper wherein the process comprises a wet phase and a dry phase, wherein an enzymatically oxidized lignin is added in the wet phase.
TREATMENT OF CALCIUM CARBONATE CONTAINING MATERIALS FOR INCREASED FILLER LOAD IN PAPER
The present invention concerns a process for preparing self-binding pigment particles from an aqueous suspension of calcium carbonate containing material, wherein an anionic binder and at least one cationic polymer are mixed with the suspension.
