POLYOL FATTY ACID ESTER CARRIER COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure describes methods of treating fibrous cellulosic materials with sucrose fatty acid ester containing particles (carrier systems) that allow for modifications of surfaces, including making such surfaces water resistance and/or oil/grease resistance. The methods as disclosed provide combining at least one saccharide fatty acid esters (SFAE) with a polymer (e.g., latexes) to form micellular particles and applying such particles to substrates including fibrous cellulose-based materials (e.g., pulp) to form, inter alia, molded products. Compositions comprising combinations of SFAE, a latex and optionally a mineral or other additives are also disclosed.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF DYNAMIC CORRECTIVE ENZYME SELECTION AND FORMULATION FOR PULP AND PAPER PRODUCTION
Systems and methods as disclosed herein automatically provide real-time dosing corrections for an industrial process wherein enzyme blends are applied to natural fibers for pulp/ paper production. An initial enzyme blend (e.g., enzymes and supporting formulation components, as relevant) and respective dose rates are selected to be applied based on expected fiber surface substrate characterization, expected fiber quality characterization, the physical conditions of the system being treated, respective characteristics of the initially selected enzyme blend components, etc. Upon application of the initial enzyme blend, online sensors provide real-time feedback data corresponding to measured actual values for the fiber surface substrate characterization and fiber quality characterization. A replacement enzyme blend (enzymes and supporting formulation components) and respective dose rates thereof is dynamically selected based on the feedback data. The enzyme dosing stage can be optimized responsive to product changes and/or variations in fiber sources/blend and/or physical conditions, substantially in real time.
TREATED ARTICLE, METHODS OF MAKING THE TREATED ARTICLE, AND DISPERSION FOR USE IN MAKING THE TREATED ARTICLE
A treated article includes fibers, a sizing agent, and a retention aid. The sizing agent includes a wax or a component thereof having an acid value of from 10 mg to 220 mg, KOH/g as measured in accordance with USP 401. The retention aid includes a nitrogen-containing polymer independently selected from the group consisting of (i) a nitrogen-containing polymer of Formula I, (ii) a polyethyleneimine, (iii) a polyaminoamide, (iv) a copolymer formed from the reaction product of epichlorohydrin and dimethylamine, and (v) combinations thereof.
Surface treatment composition
A surface treatment composition for paper, board or other fibrous webs. The composition of the invention comprises particles which comprise an active material and a supporting material. The active material comprises a salt of a multivalent metal, such as a divalent or trivalent metal. In accordance with the invention, the supporting material is adapted to release the active material from the particles when subjected to heat and/or pressure and/or a change in pH. Consequently, the active material's adverse effects on the rheology of the composition are avoided while its desired effects on the surface characteristics are retained or enhanced.

More specifically, the present invention provided compositions comprising cellulose fibers and cellulose acetate fibers and wet laid articles made from these compositions as well as wet laid processes to produce these compositions. The present invention also relates to developing a composition, process, wet laid product, or articles exhibiting any one of many desired benefits. This invention also relates to a biodegradable bag.
PREPARATION METHOD OF HEAT-NOT-BURN CIGARETTE PAPER WITH BORON NITRIDE AS THERMALLY-CONDUCTIVE FILLER
Clean version of the Abstract A preparation method of a heat-not-burn cigarette paper with boron nitride as a thermally-conductive filler incl tides: mixing po .ssiuxr oleate, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and water, thoroughly stirring under an ultrasonic condition, aging, and filtering until there is no precipitate; thoroughly mixing a resulting mixed solution with a softwood pulp and a hardwood. pulp to obtain a coarse pulp; and under stirring, adding boron nitride and calcium carbonate as a filler to the coarse pulp, heating to 60° C., and stirring for thorough mixing to obtain a pulp for sizing and papermaking. The present disclosure effectively improves the stability of a cigarette paper by improving a coefficient of thermal conductivity of the paper. Boron nitride, when used as a thermally-conductive filler in a thin-walled or paper product, enables high heat removal capacity. The preparation method retains the original whiteness and transparency of the cigarette paper, and provides high conductivity.
