FOAMED COMPOSITIONS, FOAM PADDED MATERIALS, AND PACKAGING ARTICLES
Polymeric foamed compositions, foam padded materials that include such polymeric foamed compositions, and packaging articles (e.g., envelopes) that include such foam padded materials, wherein the foamed composition includes: a polymeric component including a copolymer including divalent hydroxyethylene monomer units and divalent dihydroxybutylene monomer units; wherein the composition is in the form of an at least partially water-soluble foam.
Biodegradable and compostable dog waste materials and method for using same
A biodegradable and compostable sheet of material for picking up and disposing of dog excrement in an environmentally friendly manner. The sheet comprises paper or paperboard that is made grease resistant. The sheets may be stored in individual sheets or on an elongated sheet that may be folded and rolled for use with dispensing units. In operation, a user grabs or tears off an individual sheet and then places the sheet over the dog excrement so that it is located generally about the sheet's center. The corners or top edges of the sheet may then be grasped and rotated in a direction opposite of the rotation of the central section so that a twist end is formed to retain the dog excrement within a sack. The sack may then be disposed of in a trash can or composter, wherein it will degrade in an environmental safe way.
MULTI-LAYER CARDBOARD MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING A MULTI-LAYER CARDBOARD MATERIAL
The invention relates to a multi-layer cardboard material (10), comprising at least one first fibrous-material layer (12), which has a cellulose-containing base material, and at least one second fibrous-material layer (14) comprising a mixture of cellulose-containing material and fine material particles, wherein a material of origin for the fine material particles is coco peat and the fine material particles have a particle size <0.5 mm, in particular <0.3 mm. The invention further relates to a method for producing a multi-layer cardboard material (10), in particular a multi-layer cardboard web, comprising at least one first and one second fibrous-material layer (12, 14), and the use of a fibrous-material layer comprising a mixture of cellulose-containing material and fine material particles.
Adhesives, UV-crosslinkable PSAs and bonding agents with UV-crosslinked PSAs
Adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives comprising polymerization products of acrylates, the adhesives being meltable and comprising polymerization products of esters of (meth)acrylic acid and (meth)acrylic acid, the polymerization product having a molecular weight Mn of greater than 50 000 g/mol and Mw of greater than 500 000 g/mol.
Crumple-resistant security sheet, a method of manufacturing such a sheet, and a security document including such a sheet
The present invention relates to a crumple-resistant security sheet comprising fibers; an anionic polymer in a proportion lying in the range 5% to 45% by dry weight relative to the total dry weight of the fibers, and presenting a glass transition temperature greater than 40 C.; and a main cationic flocculation agent in a quantity lying in the range 1% to 5% by dry weight relative to the total dry weight of the fibers.
HYDROLYSABLE SHEET
A hydrolysable sheet obtained by impregnating a base paper sheet, to which a water-soluble binder is added, with a chemical solution, wherein the base paper sheet is obtained by applying a ply process to a plurality of sheets of base paper and has a basis weight of from 30 gsm to 150 gsm, wherein a compounding ratio of softwood pulp to hardwood pulp is less than 1/1, wherein the chemical solution contains a cross-linking agent, which causes the water-soluble binder to initiate a cross-linking reaction, and a trihydric or higher alcohol, and wherein, with respect to a weight of the base paper sheet, the base paper sheet is impregnated with the trihydric or higher alcohol at 1% to 20% by weight.
RECORDING MEDIUM
A recording medium is provided, such as paper, secured by magnetic microwires. The recording medium comprises: a pulp structure formed by pulp fibers, said pulp structure carrying microwires having a metal core of a predetermined material composition, and an insulating layer coating on said metal core; and at least one coating layer on at least one side of said pulp structure. The pulp structure is a single-layer structure with the microwires fully embedded in said single layer, the microwires having cross-sectional dimensions approximately equal to cross-sectional dimensions of the pulp fibers.
BIODEGRADABLE REINFORCED PAPER PACKAGING MATERIAL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD
A paper packaging material, and method for manufacturing it, having a paper layer with a polyethylene coating on one surface, a biodegradable resin grid on the opposite surface to enhance its strength while maintaining reduced weight and a thermo-sealing resin, which eliminates the use of glues in the packaging process. The vegetal resin is made out of vegetable wax, acrylic styrene copolymer, demineralized water, water based silicone and natural fungicide. The method includes the steps of printing graphics on one side of the web, drying the paper, applying a vegetal resin on the other side and a film of polyethylene on the top of the printed side. Thermo-sealing varnish is applied in predetermined areas.
