ARAMID COMPOUND PAPER WITH PINNING EFFECT AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF

The present invention provides aramid compound paper with a pinning effect and a preparation method for the aramid compound paper. The preparation method for the aramid compound paper includes the following steps: preparing aramid paper from polyphenylene sulfide meltblown superfine fibers and aramid chopped fibers with wet papermaking; then placing polyphenylene sulfide meltblown superfine fiber non-woven fabrics on two sides of aramid base paper as face layers respectively; embedding the polyphenylene sulfide superfine fibers on the face layers into pores of the aramid paper at a middle layer by using a hot-pressing technology to be fusion-joined to the polyphenylene sulfide super-short fibers which are uniformly dispersed in the aramid base paper, so as to form the pinning effect; and meanwhile, melting and then solidifying the polyphenylene sulfide superfine fibers between the aramid chopped fibers to form a continuous network, and firmly bonding the aramid chopped fibers.

EXTENSIBLE PAPER AND ITS USE IN THE PRODUCTION OF EXPANDED SLIT PACKAGING WRAP AND VOID FILL PRODUCTS
20230348160 · 2023-11-02 ·

An extensible slit sheet paper product is produced having an expandable slit pattern that forms open cells upon expansion of the paper product. The paper product is an extensible paper having an extensibility in the range from 1-9% in the machine direction and 1-5% in the cross direction. The expansion produces an array of hexagonal cells. The expanded extensible paper can be used to wrap an object for shipping by wrapping and cushioning the object in the expanded slit sheet material. The extensible, expandable slit sheet paper can be wrapped around itself to produce a void fill product.

Fibrous Structures

A fibrous structure is disclosed. The fibrous structure exhibits a plurality of discrete knuckles arranged in a pattern of repeat units. The repeat units can include a plurality of rows arranged such that distance between at least two adjacent discrete knuckles are non-uniform such that the repeat unit exhibits varying pillow width distances.

SOFT TREATED TISSUE PRODUCT

The present invention provides multi-ply creped tissue products, and in particular embodiments creped wet-pressed tissue products, having substantially higher per-ply basis weights, such as from about 14.0 grams per square meter or greater. Despite having relatively high per-ply basis weights, the products are generally soft and flexible, such as having a softness value (measured as TS7) less than about 10.0 and a Stiffness Index less than about 20.0. While being soft and flexible, the tissue products are durable enough to withstand use, such as having a geometric mean tensile (GMT) greater than about 1,000 g/3″.

Repulpable, recyclable, compostable and biodegradable reinforcement elements and paper reinforced tapes, and containers including the same

The paper reinforced tapes and reinforcement elements of this invention have improved repulpability, recyclability, compostability and biodegradability. Further, these reinforcement elements and paper reinforced tapes, despite being predominately paper, unexpectedly provide excellent container reinforcement properties and further can be used as opening tapes, closing tapes, tear tapes and carrying handles.

Method for producing multi-layered board having at least three mediums with at least two mediums being different

A system and method for producing a board product characterized by having two corrugated mediums and at least one embossed medium in the board product. The board product may further include one or more facings that are adhesively coupled to either the corrugated medium, the embossed medium, or both. Generally speaking, a corrugated medium may be characterized as a paper product that exhibits flutes induced by a cross-corrugating process such that the induced flutes are perpendicular (or at least not congruent) with the machine direction of the paper product. An embossed medium may be characterized as a paper product that exhibits flutes induced by a linear-embossing process such that the induced flutes are aligned with the machine direction of the paper product. A resultant board product is stronger and more efficiently produced because of the linearly-embossed medium harnessing the natural strength of the paper in the machine direction.

Methods for making repulpable paper strings and straps through pultrusion process and related devices for the same

A method for forming paper straps is provided. The method may include providing a paper strip from a base sheet and directing the paper strip through a first die to form an intermediate string. The method may further include directing the intermediate string from the first die through a second die, the intermediate string exiting the second die in a substantially non-twisted state. Related apparatuses and devices to form paper straps are also provided.

Paper products and pulps with surface enhanced pulp fibers and increased absorbency, and methods of making same

Paper products such as tissues can be made using a furnish comprising surface enhanced pulp fibers (“SEPF”). In some embodiments, SEPF have a weighted average fiber length of at least 0.3 millimeters (mm) and an average hydrodynamic specific surface area of at least 10 square meters per gram (m.sup.2/g). In some embodiments, a furnish or a paper product can comprise at least 2 % SEPF by dry weight. In some embodiments, a paper product comprising SEPF can be formed from a furnish having a freeness of 650 ml Canadian Standard Freeness (CSF) or less, optionally 600 ml CSF or less.
