Creped multi-ply tissue product
Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products comprising a non-crosslinked binder that are durable, smooth and with low levels of Slough. In certain instances the creped tissue product have a geometric mean tensile (GMT) from about 700 to about 1,500 g/3″, a basis weight from about 45 to about 60 gsm and a Slough less than about 2.00 mg, more preferably less than about 1.50 mg, such as from about 0.10 to about 2.00, such as from about 0.25 to about 1.50 mg. The inventive tissue products also have good durability, such as a Durability Index from about 10.0 to about 20.0, smooth surfaces, such as a TS750 value from about 15.0 to 40.0 and low stiffness, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 10.0.
Coating Agent for Paper and Coated Paper Using Same
A coating agent for paper comprises: an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer, wherein the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer has a content of ethylene units of 1 mol % or more and less than 20 mol % and a block character of the ethylene units from 0.90 to 0.99. Coated paper is obtained by coating paper with such a coating agent. The coating agent of the present invention is excellent in viscosity stability and also causes the resulting coated paper to be excellent in barrier properties and water resistance.
Multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles
Articles, for example multi-ply fibrous structure-containing articles such as multi-ply sanitary tissue products, containing two or more fibrous structure plies, and more particularly to multi-ply articles containing two or more fibrous structure plies having a plurality of fibrous elements wherein the articles exhibit improved bulk and absorbent properties compared to known articles and methods for making same, are provided.
ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION FOR USE IN RELEASE PAPER OR RELEASE FILM
This organopolysiloxane composition for use in release paper or release film, said organopolysiloxane composition containing (A) an organopolysiloxane having two or more silicon atom-bonded alkenyl groups in each molecule, (B) an organohydrogen polysiloxane having two or more silicon atom-bonded hydrogen atoms (Si—H groups) on average in each molecule, (C) an organic peroxide and (D) a specific amount of a platinum group metal-based catalyst, is capable of undergoing an addition reaction with a smaller amount of the platinum group metal-based catalyst in comparison to the prior art, thereby being capable of forming a cured coating film which has a release strength equivalent to that of the prior art even in cases where a component that inhibits the catalytic activity of the platinum group metal-based catalyst is contained in the composition. In addition, this organopolysiloxane composition is capable of forming a cured coating film by means of an addition reaction even on a base material containing a catalyst poison component, on said base material conventional compositions being not able to be cured.
SOFT THROUGH-AIR DRIED FACIAL TISSUE
Disclosed am multi-ply tissue products, particularly creped and through-air dried facial tissue products, having improved strength and softness. For example, the products have a geometric mean tensile strength (GMT) greater than about 1,2000 g/3″, a geometric mean tensile energy absorption (GM TEA) of about 20 g.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or greater and a TS7 value less than about 16.0. In certain instances, the tissue products also have a low degree of stiffness and a relatively smooth surface, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 8.00 and a TS750 value less than about 15.0. The tissue products may be prepared from webs manufactured by a print-crepe process that deposits a latex polymer on at least one of the outer surfaces of the tissue web.
SOFT WET PRESSED FACIAL TISSUE
Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products, particularly wet pressed facial tissue products that have been recreped. For example, disclosed are tissue products prepared from wet pressed tissue webs that have been recreped using a print-crepe process that deposits a latex polymer on at least one of the outer surfaces of the tissue web. The tissue products have improved strength and softness, such as a geometric mean tensile strength (GMT) greater than about 1,400 g/3″, a geometric mean tensile energy absorption (GM TEA) of about 20 gocm/cm2 or greater and a TS7 value less than about 16.0. In certain instances, the tissue products also have a low degree of stiffness and a relatively smooth surface, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 8.00 and a TS750 value less than about 20.0.
LOW STIFFNESS MULTI-PLY TISSUE PRODUCT
Disclosed are multi-ply tissue products, particularly creped and through-air dried tissue products, having cloth like properties, such as good drapability and durability. For example, the products generally comprise two plies and have a geometric mean slope (GM Slope) less than about 10.0 kg and a geometric mean tensile energy absorption (GM TEA) of about 15 g.Math.cm/cm.sup.2 or greater. In certain instances, the tissue products also have a low degree of stiffness, such as a Stiffness Index less than about 5.00. The tissue products may be prepared from webs manufactured by a print-crepe process that deposits a latex polymer on at least one of the outer surfaces of the tissue web.
Release-paper base paper and method for producing same, and release paper
Release paper base paper includes a substrate; and a coating agent containing a modified polyvinyl alcohol (A) and sodium acetate, the substrate coated with the coating agent, wherein the modified polyvinyl alcohol (A) has 0.005 mol % or more and less than 10 mol % of double bonds derived from unsaturated carboxylic acid or a derivative thereof (B) in side chains, has 1.4 mol % or more and 2.0 mol % or less of 1,2-glycol bond, units, and is water soluble, and a content of the sodium acetate relative to the modified polyvinyl alcohol (A) is 0.01 mass % or more and 10 mass % or less. The release paper base paper of the present invention is excellent in sealing properties for silicone. Use of the release paper base paper allows acceleration of curing of silicone in a release layer and improvement in adhesion between the substrate and the release layer.
