METHOD OF MAKING ROLLED TISSUE PRODUCTS HAVING PRINTED BORDERS

A method of manufacturing rolls of printed tissue includes printing a central pattern on a tissue web to create a central printed lane bordered on each side by unprinted lanes, and further printing distal patterns on the tissue web outward of the unprinted lanes. The tissue is wound into a log, and the log is cut through the central printed lane to produce first and second rolls of tissue, each roll having a proximal end and a distal end, and the cutter contacts ink when cutting the log. First and second printed portions from the central printed lane abut the proximal ends of the first and second rolls of tissue, respectively. Further, the first and second distal printed lanes reside near but do not abut the distal ends of the first and second rolls of tissue, respectively.

Unitary Deflection Member for Making Fibrous Structures Having Increased Surface Area and Process for Making Same

A unitary deflection member. The unitary deflection member can have a fluid pervious reinforcing member and a patterned framework. The patterned framework can have a plurality of regularly spaced protuberances extending from the reinforcing member. At least two of said protuberances can be similar in size and shape, and can have linear segments having different cross-sectional areas along the z-direction.

Cannabis Wrapper For Smoking Articles
20220354160 · 2022-11-10 ·

A wrapping material for a smoking article is formed from a web that includes extracted pieces of cannabis combined with web building fibers. The web has a basis weight of from about 20 gsm to about 80 gsm and a permeability of from about 10 Coresta to about 100 Coresta. The wrapping material has a natural cannabis smell and taste. The wrapping material is tobacco and nicotine free and can be used as a carrier for flavorings or aerosol delivery compositions.

High bulk wet-pressed agave tissue

The disclosure provides a wet-pressed tissue product comprising Agave fiber and having improved sheet bulk and good cross-machine tensile, toughness and durability properties. Cross-machine properties are significant because tissue products often fail in the cross-machine direction because it is often the weaker of the two product orientations (cross and machine directions). Accordingly, in certain embodiments the present disclosure provides a three-layered single-ply wet-pressed tissue product comprising high-yield Agave fibers from the leaves of Agave tequilana, Eucalyptus Hardwood Kraft (EHWK) fibers and Northern bleached softwood kraft (NBSK), wherein the high-yield Agave fibers comprise at least about 5.0 percent by weight of the tissue product, the product having a CD tensile greater than about 450 g/3″ and sheet bulk greater than about 7.0 cc/g.

A multi-ply through air dried structured tissue having a bulk softness of less than 10 TS7 and a lint value of 5.0 or less. Each ply of the tissue has a first exterior layer that includes a wet end temporary wet strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton and a wet end dry strength additive in an amount of approximately 0.25 kg/ton, an interior layer that includes a first wet end additive comprising an ionic surfactant, and a second wet end additive comprising a non-ionic surfactant, and a second exterior layer.

Creped fibrous structures

Creped fibrous structures having pillows and knuckles, wherein the creped fibrous structures may exhibit improved knuckle properties, such as Knuckle Roughness Ra, Knuckle Roughness Rq, and Knuckle Creping Frequency and methods for making same are provided, and/or may comprise elongate knuckles comprising discrete pillows and/or elongate pillows between first and second elongate knuckles.

Dry cellulose filaments and the method of making the same

The present invention relates to dry cellulose filaments and particularly those that are re-dispersible in water. Dry cellulose filaments comprise at least 50% by weight of the filaments having a filament length up to 350 μm; and a diameter of between 100 and 500 nm, wherein the filaments are re-dispersible in water. Also described here is a film of dry cellulose filaments comprising the filaments described, wherein the film is dispersible in water. A method of making a dry film of cellulose filaments is also described that includes providing a liquid suspension of the cellulose filaments described; and retaining the filaments on the forming section of a paper or tissue making machine or on a modified paper or tissue making machine. The film can be optionally converted to powders or flakes for shipment, storage or subsequent uses. The filaments, the film, the powders or flakes and the method are in a preferred embodiment free of additives and the derivatization of the filaments.

ORGANOPOLYSILOXANE COMPOSITION FOR USE IN RELEASE PAPER OR RELEASE FILM

In the present invention, compounding an addition-reaction-curable organopolysiloxane composition with a specific amount of an organopolysiloxane compound that has three or more (meth)acryl groups in the molecule and a weight-average molecular weight of 1,000 or greater yields an organopolysiloxane composition for use in a release paper or release film in which addition reactions can occur using a small amount of platinum family metal catalyst, cured films can be formed having a peeling strength approximating levels encountered in the past, and addition-reaction-prompted curing will proceed even on a base material containing a catalyst-poisoning component.
