The disclosure relates to a flexible switch element for a track carrying rubber-tyred trains comprising two parallel rails each having an upper running surface for the tyres and an inner side surface for supporting a continuous strip (B) for guiding the train. The switch element has at least one hinge providing the longitudinal link with an adjacent switch element. The switch element also has a set of longitudinal abutments engaging, on the one hand, with the hinge in order to adjust the relative angular orientation of the element and, on the other hand, with a pivoting bottom rod providing the connection to and the alignment with an identical switch element arranged symmetrically on the opposite side of the switch. The disclosure also relates to a track switchgear comprising the assembly of such elements and a method for transporting passengers along a track provided with said track switchgear.

METHOD AND ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR DETECTING RAIL SWITCH DEGRADATION AND FAILURES

Method for detecting rail switches degradation and failures, the method having the steps of applying a Discrete Wavelet Transform to stored measurement data relative to a switch move to be analysed and obtaining a feature vector associated with said switch move and including Discrete Wavelet Transform coefficients delivered by the applied Discrete Wavelet Transform; comparing the obtained feature vector with feature vectors associated with rail switch moves previously obtained and associating each to a respective health class among several given health classes; and determining a health class for the said switch move to be analyzed by selecting one of the health classes associated with the previously obtained feature vectors based upon the comparison step.

VEHICLE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
20190360158 · 2019-11-28 ·

A vehicle management system communicates with monitor devices coupled with a path control device at an intersection between route segments. The path control device switches positions to connect different combinations of the route segments. The system receives signals from the monitor devices to determine which of the route segments are coupled with each other and receives an authority signal from a travel authority system that indicates which of the route segments that the vehicle is authorized to travel. The system directs the vehicle through the path control device responsive to a combination of: (a) receipt of the authority signal and (b) receipt of at least one of the monitor signals or failure to receive one or more of the monitor signals.

A track switch that comprises track rails of basic (2), (3), straight, (4), (5) and lateral (6), (7) directions fastened on a slab track (1); sliding switch rails (8), (9) and point rails (10), (11) that are rigidly fastened to the slab track (1) by means of mounting means (12). The point rails and switch rails form points. The track switch comprises also a shift mechanism with a drive (14) and an axis (15), whereto sliding locks (16), (17) are connected. The point rails (10), (11) and the switch rails (8), (9) are connected with each other by means of units. Each of the units is a guide (18) that is rigidly fastened to the point rail, a wedge (19) that is rigidly fastened to the switch rail (8), (9), a cleat wedge (20) placed in the guides that is capable of moving longitudinally and fastened with its both ends to point rods (21) of the wedge (see FIGS. 1 and 4). The sliding wedges (20) are connected to each other by means of point rods (21), the last of the point rods being connected with the axis of the shift mechanism that is capable of rotating or moving longitudinally, and is set into motion by a shift drive mechanism. The sliding switch rails (8), (9) are connected to each other by means of spacing rods (22).
