Dynamic fit adjustment for wearable electronic devices
Systems and methods for dynamically adjusting the fit of a wearable electronic device are disclosed. In many embodiments, a tensioner associated with a wearable electronic device can control one or more actuators that are mechanically coupled to either the housing or to a band attached to the wearable electronic device. In one example, in response to a signal to increase the tightness of the band, the tensioner can cause the actuator(s) to increase the tension within the band.
AN ORNAMENTAL COMPONENT FOR A BRACELET AND/OR NECKLACE
An ornamental component (300) for a bracelet and/or necklace, comprising a housing with a cavity defining projecting rims of end walls of the housing and a ring manufactured from a resilient friction material, wherein the ring comprises at least two cut-outs in the inside surface (303) of the ring, said cut-outs defining associated at least two inwardly projecting projections of the ring for frictionally gripping a surface of the elongated member so as to adjustably fix the ornamental component at selected positions along an elongated member, an entirety of the cut-outs being free of material.

SENSATION INDUCTION DEVICE AND SOUND OUTPUT SYSTEM
[Problem] To enable presentation of sound in a more suitable manner even in a situation where a sound output unit with limited performance to output a part of frequency components is applied.
[Solution] A sensation induction device including: a vibration unit that has a long shape and vibrates in the long direction; and a support unit that supports the vibration unit in the vicinity of a portion where at least a part of a predetermined portion of a user contacts in a state where the user listens to sound, wherein vibration of the vibration unit is controlled on the basis of a part of frequency components included in sound to be output such that the vibration is associated with output of sound from a predetermined sound output unit.
Flexible system-in-package solutions for wearable devices
Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards an integrated circuit (IC) package. In embodiments, an integrated circuit (IC) package may include a flexible substrate. The flexible substrate may have a plurality of dies coupled therewith. The IC package may include a first encapsulation material, having a first rigidity, disposed on the flexible substrate to at least partially encapsulate each die of the plurality dies. The IC package may further include a second encapsulation material, having a second rigidity, disposed on the flexible substrate. In embodiments, the second rigidity and the first rigidity are different from one another. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.
SECURE SYSTEM FOR COUPLING WEARABLE DEVICES TO COMPUTERIZED DEVICES WITH DISPLAYS
A system has a first electronic device with optical sensor, digital radio transceiver, and processor with firmware; this device is typically portable or wearable. The system also has a computerized device with a display, a second digital radio transceiver, and a second processor with firmware. The first and computerized devices are configured to set up a digital radio link when in radio range. The second processor uses a spot on the display to optically transmit a digital message including a secret such as an encryption key or subkey and/or an authentication code adapted for authenticating an encrypting the radio link. The first device receives the digital message via its optical sensor, and uses the digital message to validate and establish encryption on the radio link. In embodiments, the system determines a location of the first device on the display and positions the transmission spot at the determined location.
Rechargeable wrist-mounted work light
A work light comprised of a removable band that is configured to attach to a user's wrist and forearm. The band includes a first attachment assembly for holding a rechargeable first flashlight such that the first flashlight illuminates around a user's index finger. The first flashlight includes an internal rechargeable first battery and a first pair of external battery contacts for applying recharging energy to the first flashlight. The work light also includes a charger for applying recharging energy to the first pair of external battery contacts. The charger has a first socket for receiving the first flashlight and a first pair of charger contacts for electrically connecting to the first pair of external battery contacts. Preferably the band holds a rechargeable second flashlight so as to direct its illumination toward the little finger. Then, the charger includes a socket for charging the second flashlight.
FACE MASK CARRYING SYSTEM
A convenient face mask or personal protective equipment carrying system that not only provides an easy access of the mask itself to the user but also enables the carrying system to be part of an accessory for a user. In one embodiment, the carrying system includes a holder, which may be in a form of a bracelet, a necklace, a hair tie, a necktie clip, a purse clip, etc. In another embodiment, the holder may include an anchor for receiving the elastic bands of the face mask. In another embodiment, the face mask is in a folded state or in a state where the surface area of the face mask is reduced to engage the anchor. In an alternative embodiment where the face mask does not have an elastic band, the holder further may include an elastic band to hold the face mask in a folded state by the anchor.
WEARABLE PARTIAL DISCHARGE DETECTOR
Disclosed herein is a system for detecting a partial discharge from electrical equipment. The system includes a vest dimensioned for wear by a user. An antenna is associated with the vest, and a receiver is coupled to the antenna and associated with the vest. At least one indicator device is associated with the best. Circuitry is associated with the vest and coupled to the receiver. The circuitry is configured to monitor ambient radiofrequency energy in real time, and determine that the partial discharge has occurred as a function of the ambient radiofrequency energy. The circuitry actuates the at least one indicator device as a function of the determination that the partial discharge has occurred, and transmits the determination that the partial charge has occurred to a control station via the wireless transmitter.
