Each respective radial fan has a suction opening for drawing in particles that are removed during processing, and an outlet opening for discharging the particles into a collection device. Each radial fan has a fan wheel driven in a rotationally movable manner about a rotation axis. The fan wheel has a circumferential face and an impact face. The impact face faces the suction opening for radially redirecting the particles that strike the impact face. The suction device further includes at least one collection channel circumferentially and partially surrounding the fan wheel of each respective radial fan. The circumferential faces of the fan wheels of adjacent radial fans delimit a roller gap. The collection channel opens in the roller gap.

An adzer bit includes a support member that defines a through hole that is configured to receive a fastener. The support member includes a cutting segment cap portion and a base portion. The support member also defines an annular slot that is axially disposed between the cutting segment cap portion and the base portion. A plurality of cutting segments are received and secured in the annular slot. The material of the plurality of cutting segments is harder than the material of the support member.

A railway track trolley includes a pair of carriages and a workhead mounted to at least one of the pair of carriages. The carriage is adapted to locate on one of a pair of railway track whereas the other carriage locates on the other railway track. The carriages are interconnected via a coupling assembly to permit independent sliding of the carriages relative to one another. The system further includes at least one drone vehicle for receiving the coordinates from the control system and the drone vehicle has at least one workhead for performing track maintenance operations on the pre-marked track sections.

A system for performing track maintenance operations is described. The system includes a lead vehicle for identifying sections of rail that have been pre-marked for track maintenance operations. The lead vehicle further includes a control system for receiving and transmitting coordinates of the pre-marked track sections. The system further includes at least one drone vehicle for receiving the coordinates from the control system and the drone vehicle has at least one workhead for performing track maintenance operations on the pre-marked track sections.

A processing system has at least one multi-axis robot for performing track work. The processing system includes an enclosure in the form of a container for receiving the at least one multi-axis robot and at least one displacement device for displacing the at least one multi-axis robot between a transport position inside the enclosure and a working position outside the enclosure. This enables track work to be carried out in a simple, flexible, safe and reliable manner.
