Earring backing, earrings and earring display devices
A connectable earring back element, comprising: a retainer element, said retainer element having a through hole the diameter of which is sized to receive an earring post; and a body, said body having means for connecting one connectable earring back element to another connectable earring back element. In one embodiment, each connecting earring back element includes a magnet or the body is made of a magnetic material such that the connectable earring back elements may be connected through magnetic forces. In some instances, a display panel may be included in an earring set to display the earrings, where the display panel may be decorative and may include magnets or be made of a magnetic material for affixing of the connecting earring back elements thereto.
Producing a safety clutch
A method of producing a safety clutch for releasable securing of a post for a body piercing is disclosed. The post is guided through a hole in a plate to be secured (but removable) between a pair of cantilever spring elements bent from the edges of the plate into position on the back side of the plate. A dome shield is also secured to the edge of plate to cover the cantilever spring elements on back side of the clutch, the dome shield including one or more ventilation holes for reducing moisture accumulation within the dome shield. The dome shield blocks an end of the post extending between the cantilever spring elements from contacting the user and possibly puncturing skin. The plate, dome shield and cantilever spring elements can be efficiently manufactured by forming and stamping from a single piece of material.
CRUSHED PIERCING NEEDLES WITH INSTALLED-BACK-PIN
A crushed piercing needles with installed-back-pin, which can pierce into human tissues easily and reduce pain and bacterial infection caused by secondary piercing. The crushed piercing needles with installed-back-pin includes a piercing needle body and a piercing needle tip, with the piercing needle tip disposed at an output end of the piercing needle body; further includes a pin needle, there is a crushed region arranged between the piercing needle body and the piercing needle tip, and the pin needle is bonded to an input end of the piercing needle body as a whole.
Overhanging jaw cartridge for body piercing instrument
Apparatuses and systems for ornamental piercing of body parts are disclosed comprising a body piercing cartridge for use with a reusable body piercing instrument. The body piercing cartridge includes a feature for engaging a matching feature of the instrument coupled to the finger grip section of the of the instrument. The engaging feature of the jaw is disposed back from an end of the jaw such that the end of the jaw extends beyond a forward extension of the body piercing instrument to achieve an overhanging jaw. The overhanging jaw reduces the likelihood of contact by the body piercing instrument with the body which accordingly reduces the likelihood of infection. The overhanging jaw is particularly useful for making piercings without a clutch such as in a nostril.
Jewelry with features from topographic data
Jewelry that includes a topographical feature of a selected geographic location is made by obtaining topographic data for a geographic area around the selected location. The data is then used to create a topographic surface that is representative of the topography of the area and the 3D surface is adjusted for scale, viewpoint, and other features and merged with a template for a piece of jewelry. The resulting merged object is printed and the printed object is cast to produce a piece of jewelry that includes a topographic representation of the selected location.
