The present invention comprises a multilayered jewelry article, and method of making, comprising stones 2 (synthetic, real, glass, plastic, etc.), wherein the appearance of the stones is enhanced by applying nail polish, or a nail appliqu 1, to the back surface 14 of at least one stone, or to the front surface 18 of the metal casting that the stone is framed in. The nail polish or nail appliqu comprises colors and/or materials (e.g. glitter, foils, mica, etc.) that are reflected through the front surface of the stone to give each stone a unique decorative appearance. The stones may be translucent colored or clear. The nail appliqu comprises an adhesive layer applied atop a removable substrate; and a first semi-dried nail enamel and/or metallic layer applied atop said adhesive layer; and the adhesive layer adheres to the front surface of the jewelry casting upon removal of the substrate.

Methods for apparatuses and systems for ornamental piercing of body parts are disclosed comprising a main housing having a thumb grip section along a rear surface, a post holder including separate portions held together slidably engaged within a post holder track within the main housing such that the separate portions support a post while held together within the post holder track and fall away to release the post after exiting the post holder track, and a jaw slidably engaged with the main housing with a jaw track. The jaw track is parallel to the post holder track and the jaw supports a backing platform for piercing with the post as the jaw and main housing are moved together along the jaw track. The jaw includes a finger grip section disposed below and opposite the backing platform and opposite the thumb grip section of the main housing.

BIOABSORBABLE TISSUE SUPPORT ADJUNCTIVE TO TISSUE PIERCING
A bioabsorbable tissue support is inserted into a tissue of a subject during, or after, puncture of the tissue. The bioabsorbable tissue support includes a material that is gradually absorbed into the punctured tissue in time, and disappears. The bioabsorbable tissue support may be inserted standing alone, or in association with a permanent or temporary non-bioabsorbable tissue support, may define the shape of the punctured hole, and/or may release useful or ornamental chemicals into the punctured tissue. The chemical may include an antibacterial material, an antifungal material, an antimicrobial material, topical anesthetic, a temporary or permanent dye material, and/or an antiproliferative agent. The non-bioabsorbable tissue support may include a self-expanding material that enlarges the size of the puncture in time. The bioabsorbable tissue support may have the form of a tube and/or a mesh of variable peripheral shapes, be elongated, and/or have attachable and detachable end plates and pointed tips.
JEWEL PROVIDED WITH ONE OR MORE ACCESSORY ELEMENTS REVERSIBLY COUPLABLE THERETO
A jewel includes a bracelet and a pendant reversibly attachable to the bracelet at an end. The pendant includes an ornamental element connected to a pin at a first end, and an elongated coupling transversally connected to the pin at a second end. An O-ring is on the pin between the coupling and the ornamental element. The bracelet is integrally connected to a block, including a cavity accommodating the coupling, and an opening crossable by the coupling by inserting it into the cavity. The O-ring is compressed between the block and the ornamental element when the coupling is inserted into the cavity. One inserts the coupling into the cavity and rotates the pendant so the coupling is arranged transversally to the opening of the block. The O-ring keeps the coupling against the portion of block delimiting the opening, preventing relative rotation between the pendant and the block.
APPARATUS USED WITH A STUD EARRING
An apparatus used with a stud earring is presented. The apparatus has an elongate body having an upper end, a lower end, a front surface, and a back surface. The apparatus further has an attachment means having a front side and a back side. The attachment means is generally located at said upper end of the elongate body and the front side of the attachment means is removably coupled to a back end of the stud earring by a securing means. The securing means is removably coupled to the back side of the attachment means of the elongate body. The elongated body may have a design which can be easily removed and replaced. Further it may also or alternatively have coupling coupled to the lower end of the elongated body.
Earring or brooch back
An earring or brooch back for receiving a post includes a housing having a bottom shell and a top shell. The bottom shell and the top shell are provided with mutually aligned openings for forming a passage for the post. A first and a second pressing element are positioned between the bottom shell and the top shell, and the first pressing element is provided with a first stop for the post and a first protruding part which protrudes from the housing. The passage lies between the first stop and the first protruding part, and the second pressing element is provided with a second stop for the post and with a second protruding part which protrudes from the housing. The passage lies between the second stop and the second protruding part, and at least one spring is provided for spring-mounting the first and second pressing element.
System and method for supporting an earring in a gauged ear
A system for retaining an earring with in a gauge hole of an ear. The system is configured with a sleeve defining a resilient passageway. A post of a pierced earring is releasably secured within the resilient passageway and the sleeve is releasably secured with in the gauge hole of an ear. The system may be used to allow prior art ear gauges to retain pierced earrings within a gauge hole of an ear.
